Although JB was the first SD pickup I tried, I had never truely understood how great it is. Now JB is my favoriate. I don't know if I'd need any other pups in the bridge. JB and Jazz are the best combo in the world.

Got my Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp
The mailman had a huge box for me...look what was inside Pretty dirty...would be an understatement This sucker must have all its original dust So you might recall that I had scored two Boogie preamps within a couple days of one another. The first was this Studio for $200 and the second was the Quad for $400 :thu: I've wanted to try out both of these for awhile now, so I jumped at the chance of being able to have both.

Mag Mic Newbie Questions
I just bought a Mag Mic (for $199, Guitar Electronics in AZ) and I have a show coming up on Wednesday here in Los Angeles. Full band, vocalist (freedominguez.com) I have a Larrivee C-10 and I wanted a non-permanent way of amplifying the guitar and the reviews for this pickup are great. I look forward to trying it out. I saw something about an optional N Battery configuration. How is that done? I have a deal on an LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI and thought that would be a good way to go paired with the Mag Mic. Opinions would be welcome. Time and money are short, I will have to wait for the DTAR box. So, how do I install the N Battery option? Does the SA-6 / PADI set up seem viable?

How does Brazillian Rosewood feel compared to Indian?
Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a Warmoth neck, and I'm not sure what type of fretboard to get. I love the look and feel of ebony, but I prefer the tone of rosewood. I notice that Brazillian varies a bit in appearance, and it shouldn't be too hard for Warmoth to pick out a piece that is darker in color. It's only $30 more than regular rosewood when used as a fretboard, how does it feel compared to Indian rosewood? I'm looking for something that will have a fast feel to it, kind of like ebony does. I know it won't feel exactly the same, but is Brazillian smoother and faster than regular Indian rosewood? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone played a Godin lately?!?!?!
I've been looking at this model for a nice axe for a good all around humbucker guitar for (in no order) jazz, fusion, funk, blues, Phish stuff, etc...Smooth and light overdrive sounds. Here's the link, and BTW they run about $1300, do you all think they would suit me? Its the Godin LG Signature model....
