Above what price point are you just paying for rep?
Based on what I have learned, when you exceed $750 for any guitar you are just paying for a name or reputation, not additional quality that could not be found in other brands.

Bridge Mounting
If a body came drilled out ( like from warmoth ) for a Tune O Matic bridge how do you mount the studs to the body ? do they just sit in the holes ? is there a certain glue to use ? maybe something else ? thanks!!

Fender American STD Strat, good deal here?
Hey guys. I've found a used American Standard Strat for $450. Is that a good deal for a used American Strat? I've benn looking for a second guitar, and while I'm not a single coil only kind of guy, if $450 is a good deal, then I'd just throw in two stacked pups in the neck and bridge and leave the middle the texas special. I just want to know if that price is a good deal before I drive all the way over and try it out.I also found a Marshall JCM800 2x12 combo, it was eiter a 87 or 83. Tube just replaced and whole amp serviced. Seller is asking for $600 or best offer. Is that a good price too? I'd just like some opinions. Both items are a few hours away and I want to make sure that they're wirth the drive interms of their price. thanks for looking.

Dunlop cgb95 wha true bypass
I've read somewhere on the net that one of the ways to know if a pedal is true bypass is to see if you still get sound out of your amp when you pull off the pedals power supply.
I've been given a Dunlop cgb95 wha last week and i still can play through it even when the wha is not connected to the power supply(of course without getting the wha effect)....does this mean it has been converted by the previous owner to true bypass or what i've read over the net is just one of those useless info from a non informed website?

De-mud mod clip
I didn't want to hijack John's thread, so here's the my de-mud mod clip. I'm using a 59 neck. The difference is very subtle. Obviously, you don't want to change the basic character of the pup. On computer speakers, you may not even hear the difference.
