Hey guys. I've found a used American Standard Strat for $450. Is that a good deal for a used American Strat? I've benn looking for a second guitar, and while I'm not a single coil only kind of guy, if $450 is a good deal, then I'd just throw in two stacked pups in the neck and bridge and leave the middle the texas special. I just want to know if that price is a good deal before I drive all the way over and try it out.I also found a Marshall JCM800 2x12 combo, it was eiter a 87 or 83. Tube just replaced and whole amp serviced. Seller is asking for $600 or best offer. Is that a good price too? I'd just like some opinions. Both items are a few hours away and I want to make sure that they're wirth the drive interms of their price. thanks for looking.
DEFINETELY, go try that Strat out, thats a Steal if its in fair condition!
What is the year and shape of the USA Strat? Here in Canada i bought a 1988 American Standard that needed a fret dress, was in very used condition with some scar's, and came with a Charvel hardshell case.... It was $500 Canadian When i bought it it had 3 active pickups in it..... One EMG 81, and 2 un-known humbucker sized actives... It now has Fender and Duncan pickups back in it....

I don't keep up with the prices on Marshall stuff, but that strat, if in good condition fret wise, is a good deal.
Based on some recent ebay research, I'd say the Marshall is a good price.
$450 is a good deal for a decent shape USA Strat.
What model is the Marshall JCM 800 2x12? It seems that the channel switching models are going for more on eBay, but at any rate $600 is a good price for a solid working combo. I paid $550 for mine 2 years ago, and now see them regularly on eBay for $750 and up. If you really want that Marshall tone, jump on it now.
