Howdy, I have a humbucker pickup that came out of the neck position of a San Dimas era Jackson that's labeled SEY-M? 4 conductor and I strongly suspect it's a replacement and not a 1984 unit (the wiring job was pretty bad, messy builtup solder, etc).
I've heard that it might be an early model neck Distortion pickup, but I don't know for sure.
Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Andrew

welcome to the forum!!
to me it sounds like a sh7 seymourizer which is the same pup as the sh6n distortion neck, it was just re-named. so youre right
Yup, its definitely a pre-2002 Distortion neck. (I've got one too.) Great pup.
(Jeremy beat me to it.)
SEYMOURIZER model which is now just called the sh-6 distortion neck
I LIKE SEYMOURIZER better for the name!
Groovy, man, you guys are fast to answer!
I'll probably loose this pickup as I prefer a more tame setup. It came with a DD in the bridge so the two were obviously a great combo together; someone looking for a pre-Mayhem combo set will be pleased.
I have a JB and will likely put a 4 conductor 59 in the neck and use the existing pull pot to funk with it a bit. I'm thinking about a Custom Custom in bridge as a possibility too, but I have the JB in hand so we'll start with that.
Thanks again for the quick response.
