I've been on an OD pedal search for the past few weeks, and all avenues of my particular search would eventually wind up pointing at the Hermida Audio Zendrive... so I ordered one from MusicToyz a few minutes ago. Should be in this week, and I'm stoked to finally hear it in person . Any users of the pedal care to chime in with any words of wisdom/elation?
Awesome! I've heard really good things about the Zen Drive. Did you check with Teddy to see if he has any in stock before ordering? I know there's been a few people on the waiting list for when the next shipment comes in. From my experience (which has always been good btw) if it doesn't say IN Stock above the price, it probably isn't and you'll have a wait. Hopefully, he's got some in and you'll be in ZD heaven next week!

Crikey I sure didn't, hopefully I'll get lucky. If it's out of stock they'll email me, they did that before regarding a Pedaltrain board, so I'll have an opportunity to cancel if I want. If it's backordered there I might just go straight through Hermida's site and snag one, we'll have to see.

Music Toyz can also S my D.

Reviews and clips please If it's as good as the link I sent you shows, I think you'll be in for a treat

I'll definitely post a review, but alas I have no recording equipment. Maybe I'll snag a cheapy computer mic and do some ghetto clips .

Looks like I'll have to wait a bit, they expect a new group of pedals in and ready to ship by the 9th.

Hey FretFire, how do you like your Rectoverb. Would you use the OD pedal with the Rectoverb? Seems like there is plently of crunch with the Rectoverb?

Damn it man...I can't wait that long to hear about it.

I can get great cleans, bluesy drive, rock and metal gain, and even some nice warm CLEAN jazz tones, but I can't quite get that fluid jazz/fusion gain tone dialed in. That's what I hope this pedal will provide.

Yeah I love my Rectoverb too. I have the Series 1 also. Great amps, very versatile. I never thought of trying an OD pedal with it. I can't wait to hear how that works for you.

I'm mainly thinking of using the pedal in front of a clean channel to get a different tone than the amp's gain provides, so it should work well. Here's a clip of the pedal in front of a Rivera, and it sounds KILLER.

from : localhost/that clip sounds fantastic! I hear smooth, creamy, fat, the slightest hint of crunch ~ very nice. And damn nice playin! Thanks for the clip. I hope the Rectoverb sounds this nice. I bet it will.

Haha, check this out. I emailed Jeff at Tone Frenzy out of curiosity, to see if he had any in stock and this was his reply:

quot;Hi A.J.: Thank you for writing about ZenDrive!
No one has them in stock right now. Designer agreed to
teach a university course, NOW, tied up with final exams
and term papers. Honest, not a joke!

As soon as that's over, he'll finish building a bunch of them.
I ordered a load of ZDs a long time ago. I expect to have
them in stock 10-20 days. Several people already paid, being
patient; am VERY grateful for that!

Payment accepted by paypal, Bank amp; Postal Money Orders etc.Sincerely, Jeff / Tonefrenzyquot;
I'd suggest checking out the Pedal Emporium forum over at The Gear Page. One or two Zen Drives pop up a week.
