Would the JB be too bright in the following set up?
Epiphone Les Paul
Marshall JCM 800 2203
Marshall 1960A with Vintage 30s
Zakk Wylde Overdrive

Also, would there be a good amount of bass?
If not, would using an MXR 10 Band EQ in front (I dont have a loop) help at all? Thanks!

IMHO, if the pickup starts off lacking a certain frequency, EQs typically don't help that much.

I think the JB would be pretty killer for that setup. Give one a shot, if you don't like it, trade for something else

I know the 2203 jcm800 can be a little bright sometimes, but it should probably work in that setup if you just cool the highs a bit on the amp's EQ.

It might work, but do you think it will actually be good?

It is one of our most popular pickups.

Would anyone here have a sound clip of a JB and an 800, or maybe had experience with the two?

On the duncan website you can hear a sound clip there.

definately not to bright .. and certainly not in a LP

the stuff in my music (signature) is all done with the JB ..some are the JCM800 model on the guitar port
