Im looking for some VERY clean pickups that would be very...responsive..to tapping and pinch harmonics..im not very biased to output or magnet types..thanks in advance

My suggestion goes with the '59 weather you want Neck or Bridge, but more informed people will chime in with even better suggestions, so I'll get out of their way now.

Oh, if you want single coils... I dunno... and yeah, now I'll be out of here

oh..sorry for not specifying..yes i am looking for humbucker pick ups...for the quot; H x H quot; configuration ... it just seems to me like its easier to make a clean signal dirty than it is to make a dirty signal clean

I think I get what you're saying, but even a pickup like the Duncan Distortion has great clean tone.
What kinda guitar, what body wood, what kind of bridge etc etc are we talking about here?

I've got a Screamin' Demon on the way in hopes of exactly what you want. I will also recommend the Distortion. Roll the volume knob back, and it cleans up REALLY well.

King V, Mahogany body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, 22 fret, tune-o-matic bridge, nickle frets
