Has anyone tried this quot;keychain tunerquot; called Speed-E from Fender? There pretty cheap but are they realiable? For me as a bassist, do they take the low E?

Hi! I recently stumbled upon this board and am delighted to find so many knowledgable veterans around willing to share their knowledge!

I've heard they are more or less the same pickup except for the pole pieces. As far as tone, rumour has it they are very close but the Ducks sound a bit more open and quot;airyquot;.

Have you guys ever complained to a company about their shipping charges?

I've been reading these forums for a while and decided to experement with changing pickups. I ordered the Korean built distortion(cheap college student ) to replace the stock humbucker in my guitar and just want to make sure I know how to install this thing.

A non recessed Floyd/copy..i.e. it's flat against the body, no pulling up on the bar

Does speaker breakup adversely effect articulation in distortion? If so, how much? This is something I have limited if any experience with. I think all of my combo amps didn't have much in the way of speaker breakup. Is distortion always better with speaker breakup or is it good clean in some cases?

This is my first post here. I just installed a Duncan Distortion in the bridge of my 05 usa standard strat (left the middle and neck singles stock.) Right now I just have it hooked up just like the stock single coil was. The first thing I noticed is that the bottom tone control actually effects the bridge... I hadnt noticed that with the single coil... I am wanting some cool options with that 5 way switch and thought I might get some good suggestions here.

I have to order a push/pull for my epi dot, but i don't know if i have to take a quot;longquot; one or a quot;normalquot; one...

I read that once you wind a pup past say 9K it will not have that PAF mojo anymore?
I love the feel and tone of the 59, or dimarzio PAF but need some more output maybe a 3rd more output?
