hey I figured this was the best place to bring my query after hours.

My roommate has been interested in teles and has decided to get an hh tele. His interested in this tele right now from : localhost/do you guys think about this guitar? This is going to be his first guitar. It seems pretty good as it already has 2 duncans in it. A 59 in the neck and pearly gates in the bridge.

Well I finally bought another LP. The first one was a 68 LP custom actually bought in 68 as a gift from my parents. I got this R8 plain top a couple days ago. I'm going to leave it stock for awhile. The stock pickups sound real good. If I do swap them out for Duncans, I'll put either Seth Lovers or Antiquitys in.

has anybody tried simulating age on an actual pickup, not the covers, to make it look like a vintage PAF? if so, how did you go about doing it and what results did you get?

How much would you pay for a 1994 Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty triple gold pickups with a JB in the bridge, fret leveling and all that stuff done to it, and is a rare epi with a ery low action? It also has normal wear from playing. How much would you pay for it? Thanks guys, lemme know. I really don't know if I want to sell it or not, I played a schecter yesterday and it blew me away. I never play my LP anymore n don't really like the sound of it anymore, very dark and muddy and doesn't match well with my amp at all. Thoughts?

I have a California Fat Strat (The Candy Apple red one , purchased around '97 ). Years ago, my luthier replaced the noisy Tex-Mex Single coils with Virtual VIntage which I am very satisfied with. They made me realize how weak the stock humbucker was sounding since I found myself never using it. I asked him to recommend a Humbucker replacement, and he suggested the Duncan Distortion. He had a Strat with the same pickup config and it was working for him. We both agreed that we like modern distortion sounds from a bucker (even though we play strats )

Okay, this is my first post so I will make it good. I have three tele style guitars that I made. These were some of the first ones I had built and I had little knowledge at the time about choosing the wood and matching the pickups. I just made them and stuck in pickups I thought would sound good. After 9 guitars later I understand the relationship between the two components and need help choosing the right ones. The guitars look too good to sound that bad.
