Well I finally bought another LP. The first one was a 68 LP custom actually bought in 68 as a gift from my parents. I got this R8 plain top a couple days ago. I'm going to leave it stock for awhile. The stock pickups sound real good. If I do swap them out for Duncans, I'll put either Seth Lovers or Antiquitys in.

She's purdy man, enjoy it!

Thats pretty sweet!!!

Ah man, don't ask me why but I love plain tops... that's a nice one!

I dunno, there's too much flames and quilts these days... a nice finish on a nice piece of maple that shows a nice grain is sooo nice IMO...

Great buy!

Yeah, I like the plain tops too. I think a LP just looks better with a plain top.

Congrats, she's a looker!

that loosk awesome man, i really am digging the plain top. Simple and a true classic!

If that is a 2003 or 2004 model, it has the Burstbucker 1 and 2's in it and I agree. They are very good. My 2002 came with 57 Classics and they go replaced quickly. My 2004 R7 has the BB 1 and 2 and I don't plan on changing them any time too soon.

If you do make a switch, I'd recommend Antiquities.

GREAT axe  Congrats. I like plain tops too. I like flame as much as the next person, but the older I get the more I like the subtle tops..plain or slightly 'flamedquot; (kinda like my new Standard)

I'm looking into a Historic myself after the summer. Prolly a new R7 or used R8/R9.

The BB's (all of them) are DAMN good pups. The BB Pro's are kinda hot for my tastes, but they still are really nice.
