frets on my SG
I have a standard SG and I think it could use some work on the frets, but I don't know anything about that sort of thing.I have had this guitar for about two years, the action is great, no buzzing. Chords feel fine, but when I'm soloing it's hard to play faster because the frets seem like they are kind of high.I'm going to bring this guitar in to a pro to work on, but what should I tell him?

Harmony Strat.
I am selling a Harmony Strat. It is a beautifull guitar. A deep wood-ish color i would compare to a quot;tobacco burstquot; on the les paul. Did some soldering to fix a pickup problem. Doesnt play GREAT, but well enough for a beginner. Make me an offer. Also selling gibson pickups 490's for 50$

to all Ibanez RG3120 Prestige owners...
have you tried putting Duncan pups in them? would the pickups fit since they have a tight space? kinda like music man axis guitars... the edge of the pickup (like Dimarzio's) where you place the screws in is kinda triangular in shape while Duncans have a more Square shape. this is hard to explain since i have no pics to back it up... im planning to replace the Dimarzio's in my RG into Duncans. im just not sure whether they'd fit or not.

Here's My Newest Guitars
I've been meaning to post some pictures of these for yall, but I never got around to taking any pictures until today. I've had the Explorer for about a month and a half or two, and the Les Paul Classic Premium Plus for about three weeks or so. I absolutely love them both. The Explorer has the stock 500T/496R pickups in them. They will be coming out and be replaced with a set of gold covered 59's. I think they'll sound great in that guitar. The Premium Plus has a JB in the bridge. I've never personally gotten along with the JB, but it actually sounds pretty damn good in this guitar. I'm not exactly sure what's in the neck. Whatever it is, I don't really care for it. It doesn't have much clarity. I really like the way the reverse zebras look in it with the black up top going along with the ebony portion of the burst on the guitar. I'm not sure, but I may throw a set of nickel covered pickups in it. I still need to put my UGD nickel covered 10k antiquity in something. I think it and a Seth would work out pretty good in this one. Anyways, here's some pics of the two newest members of the Jolly/Gibson family along with the whole clan.
I take it you are a Gibson man?

Series-parallel-split on two SD humbuckers
I have a question about wiring up a JB and a Jazz humbucker to perform the three options above in unison. My setup is two humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone and a 3-way selector.
Having looked at the schematics section of the SD site, I have bought a DPDT switch to wire up for the different switching. Now, the SD schematic shows you how to do this on one humbucker. This may be a stupid question (forgive me as I am new to wiring!) but I want to get series - parallel - split options on both humbuckers at the same time through the DPDT switch. Is this possible? I'm confused as I can't see how to wire up both black wires to the DPDT switch and for them to retain their proper routes to the 3-way selector.

I want to change all the screws on my tele pickguard and the pickup screws. I want the flat stainless and cant seem to find them. I am also about to get an epi sg pretty cheap and want to change the pickguard screws to stainless allen head and i want to change the pickup cover on the neck pickup to one of the ones with out the pole piece holes like on the gibson iommi pickups. if anyone can help me out as to where to find any of these it would be greatly appreciated.

Strings...
What gauge strings do you think I should use. Advantages and disadvantages of heavy strings? I was thinking of using 0.11s but I'm not to sure, I've never taken much notice of what strings I buy, normally whatever they have at the shops, I've even mixed guages of strings before. Anyways please tell me everything you know...

General Recording
Okay, I've got a TASCAM 4 Track portastudio that does the 4 simultaneous track recordings at one time. I have a decent mic, for guitar and I've been giving it one track.

My live bootleg....
A friend just suprised me with some boots he made of me and the rest of my Invasion From Planet K bandmates. It was just a single mic off a video cam at an outdoor show we did a few weeks back. It is not a hI fI MILLION DOLLAR PRODUCTION You can hear everything fine, the mic was off to the side so it is much more muffled sounding than normal. None the less it is pretty cool, at least we were mostly tight. The band is all old high school friends. I am doing most the lead stuff but the other guitar player Nate Pate ( he and I go back to 9th grade) has a few moments that are pretty spectacular. That guy plays the shiz outta the guitar.

if i type a real title, no one will look here
i want to know what pickups the guitarists from yellowcard use (i dont really like them, so dont start up an emo sucks discussion). the tone i really like is from october nights, like 11 seconds into the song. also, if you guys know what guitar they used for it or even amp that would be pretty schveet.
