Peavey ValveKing?
Has anybody tried these things out? They seem too cheap to be true. They 50w 1x12 and 100w 2x12s are particularly interesting...

Seagull acoustic decision
Ok, I've been looking into buying a nice acoustic. I've finally settled it to 1 of 2 Seagull guitars. They both are the exact same price, so no problem there. The 2 models btw are an Artist Portrait cutaway model, and and Artist Studio cutaway. Here's the dilema: they both sound great, but to my ears the Studio is just a little bit nicer, and the feel is also a bit better. I tried out every Seagull in the store except one(it was out of my price range so didn't bother), and the Portrait played better and sounded better than all of them except for the studio. So, seems like I'd go for the studio, right? Well, here's the thing, the Studio is just the guitar, and is 100% acoustic, no pickup inside the guitar, and doesn't include a case. The portrait on the other hand includes Godin's pickup system, and includes a case. Now, since they're the same price, the portrait is obviously the better deal, but the studio just has that little extra something in tone and feel. I'm probably going to spend a good few hours in the store the day I decide, and just go back and forth between the 2 of them until I make up my mind, but just wanted a little idea about what others would do.

Hey Fellers,

SP/DT question
Sorry if it's already been covered in another thread, but I was wondering if I could use 1 SP/DT switch to split both a bridge and a neck humbucker at the same time? Can they share the same lug, or does each pup need it's own lug (and hence require a DP/DT?)

Any one tried A3, A4, or A8s in a Pearly Gates?
I'm just curious what mag swaps might sound good.

tilted pickups
one aspect of the guitar that still elludes me is tilted pickups such as the bridge p'up on a S/S/S strat. I heard that the tilt does something to the treble tone.
first question: What exactly does this do?

'05 Edwards SG for sale
This is a high quality SG copy made by ESP Japan, from the quot;Lacquer Top Seriesquot;. It is almost brand new, I have played it for maybe three hours- plastic is still on all the guards. The finish is similar to the Gibson Faded in that no grain filler is used, but it is thicker and buffed to a high-gloss. The finish is nitro not poly. To my knowledge, Edwards is the only company to put a non-poly finish on a Gibson copy- Lacquer Top Series are the only ones. It appears to be a one-piece body as I cannot find a seam and a one-piece neck, both mahogany. It is finished in Walnut color. The fret work is exceptional, zero wear. It is setup by me with a new set of 10s. Comes with your choice of gigbag or hard case (pictured). Other features include:

Which coil is hotter?
On a humbucker with mismatched coils, is the screw coil hotter, or the slug coil?

Bridge Width/ String Spacing on MIM Strats
I've been gearing up to upgrade the pickups on my MIM stratocaster, but I have learned in my research, that the bridges on these guitars are narrower than the traditional Fender string spacing, even narrower than American Standard strats. The E-to-E width is 2 1/16quot; while vintage Strat bridges space the strings at 2 7/32quot;. The stock pickups on a MIM Strat look like the poles are spaced closer together than on regular pickups. Now it seems this could cause problems (especially with the bridge pickup) when changing to pickups like SDs becuse the string/pole alignment will be way off on the the bridge pickup.
