Schecter sent my new bridge too me. It's a tonepros locking bridge I think. It came with these screw on covers that go over the screw that goes into the guitar body, what those for?? Also, the slots aren't filed so what do I do as far as filing it for strings?

Pearly Gates neck pup
Does this pup have single coil vibe to it? Im running one in the neck and get a single-esq tone out of it. Same as a Paf PRo dimarzio.. Just wondering if I have it wired right? Its good I mean.

Is it the older you get, you're less inclined to pointy axes?
Just noticed a wee trend and thought back to myself - at eighteen all I wanted was an Ibanez. 7 years later, I can't stand them.

Classifieds Site
I know many of us are always looking to grab or dump some gear. I know we have the trading post and all which is cool but I thought maybe a classifieds site where more focus could be placed on product transactions. If I am out of line by all means dump this post.

tinting pickups (JB)
I´ve bought a white JB for my HSS american deluxe strat 04', with aged white pickguard (very aged!). The white colour of the pickup doesn´t look good at all in it.
Does anybody know if I can tint the pickup somehow?

Geoffrey Teese wahs
I was seriously considering a Teese RMC3 as my wah pedal. But I have heard they are voiced specifically for single coils or humbuckers.... is this true? I assume the RMC3 is for humbuckers if anything?

Any interest in Warmoth Bodies?
I have two Warmoth VW bodies routed HSH. Both have gotten wet in a basement issue a few years ago. The finish has checked a bit in a few areas but they are completely functional. One of them was on a completed guitar I played for several years. The other was never assembled. I can email pics if you provide an email addy.

How did they do that???????
I played one of the new EVH Charvel`s yesterday and have just 1 ?...How in the amp;^%$ does Charvel achieve that low of action ( it was ridiculous ) with absolutely NO fret buzz, and a ton of sustain and resonance? Im tellin you guys, I have never been so impressed over a guitar like I was with this one. In my almost 20 years of playing, Ive always had to sacrifice 1 aspect or another with action issues and etc for the sake of sustain, tone and whatnot. But not with this guitar. I didn`t even plug it in, coz it sounded AMAZING just on its own quot;acousticquot; merit. It almost p@#$ed me off thinkin that in all this time of playing, Ive never had a guitar that was SO comfortable amp; effortless to play amp; it wasnt sacrificing anything in the sustain, tone dept. I know everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but Ive never played a guitar that inspired me to play the way that one did, and Ive played just about everything thats been made. The various Charvel`s Ive had over the years ( even 2 San Dimas models) weren`t even in the same ball park as this
one. When I think of the money I handed out to techs over the years for a quot;greatquot; set-up, and in the end, NOTHING Ive ever owned was the quot;dreamplayerquot; like this guitar. I`m still kinda miffed about it. To be honest with you, I was always dead-set against throwing out over $2000.00 for a guitar, but now, I may be having second thoughts. Still, it`s a shame in my view, to have to spend that kinda cash to have a guitar w/ flawless playability. Sorry, just wanted to vent amp; share the tale.

P/U's in Original '76 Explorer
Hey all,
I recently acquired an original slim-taper '76 explorer...i'm not generally a humbucker guy but its precisely these humbuckers that sold me on the guitar...now i have SD '59's in a les paul of mine..but they are so muddy to my ears..and have way too much bottom end and drive for my preference...i'm wondering if anyone knows what p/u's came stock in the original '76 explorers and what, if any, SD humbucker would replicate this clear, singing sound...thanks guys...Geoff

Question about Tapped Quarter Pound for Strat...
I have a pickguard loaded with three Quarter Pound Strat pups that I happen to really like. Recently I got the idea of maybe making the whole setup more flexible by using the Tapped version with a set of push/pull pots instead. So I went out on eBay to find one just to try it out and see. I haven't installed it, but I tested the DC resistance with my meter and found the Red/Black wire pair to read 7.1k but the White/Black wires gives me zip. So I figured great, a broken pickup. So I went out and got another one which just came today. Dug out my meter and sure enough, the Red/Black leads read about 7.2k and the White/Black pair again couldn't even make the meter blink.

Traynor Blue 50
I heard from Yorkville sound that Traynor now has a 12quot; extension cabinet for the new Traynor Blue 50 amp. It's apparently an 8 ohm match for the Blue 50 combo. Here is the contact if you need more information.

Necessary Effects
Ok Ok, I'm, ready to put together an effects pedal board. But, I only want the essential and necessary effects like Delay, Overdrive, phasers, and Chorus. How any of each do you think I need? I've got about $300 to drop on all my effects.
Im thinkin about a DD-3 delay, 2 DS-1's or 1 Tweak Buzz, Small stone phaser, and a chorus (BOSS or DOD) oh yeah and a Wha. I hope I can find these on Ebay cheap enough to fit my tight budget. If I'm hoplessly under budgeted, what would you chop off the list.

Another choice...one last vote...
ok, MikeS mentioned using double cream pickups in my new les paul and i was pretty set on zebras. so i did these mock ups of double cream vs zebra and now i'm torn again.
