ok so i got a 1995 fender mexican strat...
got it for a really good price

Today I installed a Sh1B in a 1 Hum basswood super strat with a Floyd... sounds super cool. I had a JB in that guitar for years but wanted to try something with a lower output. It is perfect for what I wanted. When I play old VH it sounds about perfect using the '59. That guitar is a total mutt but has always had a nice warm sound- the '59 really brings it to life. It makes me wonder if I need to reconsider my least favorite SD pickup ever- the Screamin Demon. This is the one and only Duncan I really hated but I have always wondered if i rushed to judgement. Should have I raised it closer to the strings or lowered it? Who knows but I am happy with the '59!! How close is the '59 to the '78 (or EVH)?

I bought these pickups this past Winter from Vintage Vibe Guitars. They were hand-wound by Peter Bitloft and ran me a little over $100 for both of them.

Is this amp any good for rock, metal, and that sort of music? Of course they write good stuff about in on their homepage but I want to know if anyone here has experience with it. I ask because I found it in a shop here, for the price of about 650$, when converted to dollars. And that would be cheap for a 80 watts tube combo with 4 * 10quot; celestion speakers.

hey heres a clip of my fulldrive 2. my strat through a fulltone fulldrive 2 into marshall avt50 mic'ed by a shure sm57 located center of speaker off axis. lexicon pantheon reverb added in sonar to the overdriven part. i think i found the sweet spot with the sm57 there too, i thought the clean sounded pretty natural. i just got this pedal yesterday so i havent really tweaked it to its full potential yet.

Does anyone know about this one Stratocaster I saw on Ebay it had a picture of Marilyn Monroe (I'm not sure if it was naked or not, if it was or not I remember it was tastefully done).

Hi guys, I've got a Framus Panthera Studio with a Custom in the Bridge position and I don't actually like it. It's too shrill in the highs and the bass response is bad compared to my Camarillo Custom with the Demon in Bridge.
Now the question is, what shall I put in the Bridge Position?

An option i'd pay for? The hot option. On the vintage style SD's (buckers, and SC) if you could specify a hot option for another 15-20 dollars. This would be an overwound by approx. 40% pup. It would be ordered just like a floor shop custom. You'd have a slightly longer wait, but who cares?

anybody wanna throw ideas for any? i have no real need for one, but im shoppin for a friend/bandmate.

A number of years ago I tweaked the negative feedback of my BF Pro Reverb...I raised the 820 ohm feedback resistor(Can't remember to what but probably 1k or 1.5k?)until I pull the chassis? and I installed a presence pot in place of the 100 ohm resistor to the 5k and .1 cap like on a 59 Bassman/Marshall circuit...Lately I feel like the amp is a bit too noisey(hiss)due to the changes I've made to the feedback circuit of my amp...

Ok, I have a PRS CE-24, which I'm currently thinking of souping up(new pickups for one). In the process, I was thinking about changing all the hardeware to gold versions. While I don't have a pic of my guitar, this one from : localhost/is similar. It's the same colour, just mine is a CE, so take away the birds, and the pickups are open. Anyways, what does everyone think of the gold idea? I've got a guy who's ready to order the parts for me, just waiting to go into the store and put a downpayment on them, but now at the last minute it's like I'm starting to get second thoughts.
