i know you've all been waiting, so here it is. although i do have to say that the quality is terrible, which is equally due to the cheap disposable camera and my crappy scanner. but here they are...

i took some with the pickguard on too, since i was deciding whether i liked it better with it on or off. but coincidentally, none of the ones with the guard on came out....maybe that's supposed to be a sign? but the guitar is sweet!

what color guard was it? im guessing black

That top is gorgeous...I have to admit that I would rather it have a high gloss finish but that is still one of the nicest LPs I've ever seen.

Actually I think those photos came out pretty well ( you should see me with my pricey digital that gives half that quality in my hands ). The axe looks pretty sweet. Is that gold hardware ? If so, can I get one with chrome ? And of course, the inappropriate, but inevitable question : how much ? Rock on dude.

it was a black pickguard on there, but the longer i keep it off, the less i want to put it back on. and yeah, the hardware is chrome. my favorite part about the whole guitar so far is that there isn't any sort of high-gloss finish anywhere on the guitar, which helps out a lot on the neck. the back of the neck doesn't stick at all, and it has a very nice feel to it due to the finish (and of course, the design).

nice guitar man, it looks pretty killer.

I really like the grain and color on that Paul. I agree the black pickguard won't look right, but it does need a pickguard....buy her a creme one. I think I've got an extra laying around if you'de like it.

People who think that guitar needs a creme pickguard are the same type of people who make Greenburst HHH flying v's with pink headstocks and a mix of gold and chrome hardware on that Kisaeke site.

I say no pickguard. Really nice looking guitar, man.

Although I ALWAYS prefer a guard on a Paula, I think that one may look better w/out.

If I was gonna put one on though, I'd go creme like JeffH said, but then I'd have to get a creme selector switch cover/tip,rings and amber top hats...it wouldn't look right with the black speed knobs, rings and selector switch plate/tip (to me anyway)

That's a little harsh...don't ya think? Respect others opinions even if they differ, that's what makes this a great place.

Ooo la la! No pickgaurd needed on that puppy. That must sound pretty dark (in a very good way)... are you gonna keep it stock?

i'm keeping it stock for now, but who knows what will happen later. before i do anything to it, i need to hear it through my mesa, since i only have my flextone combo here at my apartment. the only guitar i've been able to compare it to back to back so far is my squier strat...the paul definitely sounds darker, but with a lot more fullness and definition.

i can't wait to plug it into my mesa and crank the crap out of it, too bad i won't be home for another three weeks
