Hi everyone!
I was just planning on buying a new set of strings, and maybe a new volume pot for my EMGs.. I was wondering how much stuff like that costs around the globe, and do those prices affect your maintenance in any way?

I have to pay about $ 10/8 ? for a set of strings, unless I go with steel strings, which cost way more. This makes me change strings less often, and keep them clean better.
Oh, I reside in Finland, north Europe.

I wouldn't say prices affect my guitar maintenence, but if I can get something from the US then I'll do it that way (PU's amp; Hardware mostly), even with international shipping it usually comes out about 25% cheaper at least.

In the UK I can get a set of normal strings for about ?4.50 online (EB's D'addario's, Rotosounds etc.), in shops they are usually ?5.50~?6.00

Well i get my ESP/Electro harmonix strings for sgd$7 overhere which is about US$4.1339 at this current moment in time

my dr strings cost about sgd $6.50 a pack. which anounts to about usd $3.80.

Set of D'darrio strings, are about 70 South African rands, which converts to about 10 US $. Elixer Nano web for electric are more than twice that. A SD pickup like a quarter pound for neck tele is about 850 Rand (120 dollars)

Guess the lack of competition drives prices up. So i suppose that holds me back from customising and maintaining. I'd go crazy with all the US residents' options....

A SD JB is about $ 110 us here.. If I remember correctly..
It's insane how I'd have to pay $10 or more for pickguard screws, when I can get 10 similar screws from a hardware store for about 10 cents..

for SD pickups they list around sgd$100 here which converts to about Usd$59.0528
