Got my Board populated ready to go ! It's a metroamps MV50watt board going
into a 50watt Pro-tube 50 Laney. Metro gives intructions for installing it into a 100watt Marshall ? And the Laney trannies are color coded different. The Filter caps and fuse holders are different aswell. So I'm kinda lost I've got a post with pics on the Metro board, But that board moves at a snails pace. Anyone here wanna take a look? Here's a link to my post.

I think I hate my Marshall
A few weeks ago I bought a JCM 800 4212 combo. It had a few problems so I took it right back to the shop to have it retubed with EL34's and cheked out. Anyway, I got the amp back yesterday and I noticed it sounds horrible at bedroom level. I cranked it up for a few minutes (before the neighbors could complain)and it was a totally different beast. It's got a master volume, so I figured it should have the same great tone at any volume. Do Marshall's have to be played loud to sound good?

MIM Standard Telecaster Pup changes
Please forgive a noobie if this has been covered ad nauseum, but I'm getting a MIM Standard Telecaster, and am considering changing the bridge pickup to a SD Little 59. Two questions: (1) will this require much (or any) quot;re-routingquot; or cutting of the guitar itself; and (2) assuming that I add the Little '59, it is worth swapping the stock neck pickup for another? I suppose what I'm looking for is to get a little of the Jimmy Page/blues style Telecaster sound, without totally losing the twang. Thanks for any advice from the experts.

DS-1 back from summer camp
Got my DS-1 back from Dr. Spina the other day. It's pretty sweet as far as I can tell. The first thing I noticed was the shiney new complimentary knobs. I had been turning posts to adjust my sound for like 7 months so...i feel like a rock star again. The second thing i noticed was that when I plugged it in, it worked...and then it sounded good.

wtt rio grande muy grande tele set
ok I have a rio grande tele set as stated in the title its only about 2 months old still in good shape both the neck and bridge pickup have alot of lead left except the ground wire on the bridge it was cut short so i could ground it under my bridge like the old one was. I have the box they came in as well as all the screws and springs. they are really good sounding pickups just not the sound i am looking for right now. I would like to trade them for a set of pickups with a more twangy sound something like brad paisley or something along those lines. If anyone is interested let me know what ya got will consider all trades.

agile 3500 with jb/jazz combo
hi all as per my previous posts i finally picked up my lefty agile 3500 with jb/jazz combo. playing it in rondo vrs other guitars including agiles it definately has a sweeter and more resonant tone. plugging it into my little marshall mg15dfx it is actually to my ears about 30 % louder then my mex strat or my peavey predator plus, and it also just sounds better. so overall im very impressed. the one question i have has to do with the treble/rhythm switch. i read on this site several days ago that treble = bridge and rhythm = neck. so in my case treble should = jb and rhythm should = jazz correct? what i find strange is that i can where i can tell a big difference between the 2 settings, i have to really strain to hear the difference between the midde setting (what i assume to be equally using both treble and rhythm pickups) and the rhythm pickup. i would think the rhythm setting would sound a bit more bassy or lower then the quot;neutralquot; setting but again to my ears they are basically the same. is this normal and if not does anyone have any thoughts on why this might be so? since this is my first experience playing a les paul type i really dont know what is normal. thanks and look forward to some feedback.
