A lot of members here have lots of experience with boutique pedals. Whilst its discussed a fair bit, usually its only just about a specific effect (delay, overdrive, etc.)... here we need the best of the best, of all kinds of effects.

ok, i bought a dimarzio Air Norton for my neck strat, it already has a dimarzio evolution at the bridge, i really dont know abuot installing pickups, so a tech is gonna do it, i read that 500 k pots, are for maximum puch, but i dont even know what 500 k pots mean???? so, any other things i must know, like at what height should the pickup being installed, closer to the strings , etc, and how will it affect the sound. Im into, hard rock, 70s, jazz, fusion, funk, pop, all music really, so any advice, it would be great!!!

Ok i just got my fender noiseless pickups in the mail and i have a problem. I in general know what im doin but its like theres extra parts that arnt even on the wiring diagram. I have a resister that isnt even pictured anywhere and a tooth looking thing called an inductiance that is also not pictured. If anyone can give me some input or a place to get the correct wiring diagram that would be a big help. Thanks.

Alright, I'm sorry if all this has been covered before, I actually know it has, but never in a way that i could actually understand... Sorry, I'm a bit slow. This was never adequately explained to me.

Just curious for those of you who bit the balsewood and made the $450 car payment, or for that matter have played with it, what do you think? Worth the cash? Good tone? Still use it?

What pickups do you like that come stock? I'm not referring to guitars come stock with Duncans or Dimarzios et. al, but pickups made by the companies that make the guitar.

I know Gibson used these quite often in the '70s with SGs, and many people still love them. What do you guys think? I would like feedback from actual users who have played both the angled pocket and the straight pocket- compare and contrast please. No rumours! Thanks!

O.K., so my search for a white JB Jr. continues....

i have a schecter scorpion that had the duncan designed version of the distortion (it's also f-spaced) i strung that guitar with 10-52's and found that the pickup responds perfectly for my playing style. i wanted to know if i put a DD trembucker in my ibanez iceman, will it still sound the same response (mainly the treble)? keep in mind the scorpion has a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and a 26 3/4quot; scale length, and the ibanez has a mahogany body, maple neck, and 24 3/4quot; scale length.

I have a 1970 Les Paul Custom and I need some Gold pickups that are older. My les paul looks like it was dragged behind a car so I want older looking pickups to keep the motif. I'm interested in pretty much anything just needs to have the gold cover.

I thought it'd be great to have an affordable SG or V with a 60's slim neck but gibson doesn't offer either of those. then I found this beauty! it looks cooler than SG or V and it can be found under a grand with case new! WOW.

What do you guys recommend for volume/tone mods for p-90's. For a hb the answer would be quot;500K pots with the 50's mod.quot; But what about p-90s?
