Hi, I bought what was advertised as a used/vintage JBJ SH4 pup off of ebay and when it arrived had the white label IGG61 SH4 0653. I wanted a JBJ model for the tone...from what ive read on the forums the are 'better'. From pictures I've seen after I made the purchase, this label looks nothing like the real JBJs. What do i REALLY have and where might it have come from?

Which would be recommended? Does the Tokai have a veneer top?

Hey guys im new to this forum and dont know to much about seymour duncan pickups. I have a mexican made strat with three single coil pickups. Im looking to replace them with some pickups that are going to give me some hella crunch and metal. If you guys could give me a little help you will be greatly appreciated thanx for takin a look.

well, i got my pickguard from warmoth and my yellow pickups in today and went to work on my 80's project hehe. again, i have sinned and went with dimarzio pickups in a strat but i just can't find a duncan with enough low end chunk that keeps the articulation and clarity like the breed in my other strat and the super 3 in this strat....fast track 1 in the neck also of this one. i've tried tons of duncans in strat bridges but just can't find the right sound and i think i did find it with the breed and the super 3 only more time playing them will tell but so far so good!!

I am searching for a replacement for a Gibson '57 Classic in the neck position of my quot;81 Gibson Les Paul Standard. If I were to describe the tone I was looking for, I'd say Dave Meniketti from Y amp; T on the quot;Rescue Mequot; intro . It just sings. Or dare I say Gary Richrath on that ballad he did the solo on the neck pickup...you know what song it is......That is what I am looking for.

I had no intention of posting this since it is total improvisational rubbish but I figured some of you may be interested. This is my Diezel VH-4 into a Bogner 2X12 with Vintage 30s. I had the tape rolling while I tested various mic placements on the Bogner cab. For some reason, I didn’t really care for my initial recordings using my normal on-axis with a speaker technique. This short excerpt was recorded with the SM57 sitting on the ground, propped up on a guitar stand aiming towards the 2X12, about 6” away from the cab. This is channel 4 on the Diezel and it was pretty loud for my little studio. The only effects are the G-Force providing a little reverb and delay. The first lick is a Cool Rails neck and then I switch to the bridge for the rest… Enjoy.

like the virtual hot paf is listed at 260mv and the air zone is at 323mv's

Will the Echo Park be a good starter delay pedal for me? better than a DD-3? I'd like to get the best delay for the money at about $100. I know analog is much better and much more expensive. I could build the one at buildyourownclones.com for $75.

Alright folks I got myself a Tremonti SE today, it plays nice but i do not like the pickups in it, I mainly play stuff from GnR and a little bit of blues, what SD pickups would u guys recommend? Alnico Pro II ? Antiquities?

Hi,i am building a saga LC-10 Les Paul type guitar and i wanted to know which of these pickups you would recommend for the neck position. It will be used for metal/hard rock tones so keep that in mind please. What i am looking for is plenty of chugga chugga(for lack of a better term) but i want to still be able to hear some mids and highs.
