Hi All.............
Just was working out a problem and in A1 put 12/31/2005
and in B1 put =DAY(A1), formatted as Custom dddd, and the result came out
TUESDAY. Then when I copied both cells down, A2 became 1/1/2006 and B2
became Sunday, as they should be, etc etc on down.........
I dropped down to A8 and entered 12/25/2005 and in B8 put =DAY(A8) and I got
WEDNESDAY. By then copying down, these followed that sequence to 12/3102005
being TUESDAY again and when it switched to 1/1/2006 in A15, then B15 became
Sunday as it should be, and was correct from there on down...........
Anybody know what's up with that?
Vaya con Dios,
Chuck, CABGx3
Nevermind, I see now that I should have used =WEEKDAY(A1) instead of just
DAY(A1)............
Thanks,
Chuck, CABGx3

Hi Chuck
You don't really need DAY() or WEEKDAY().
Just =A1 formatted as ddd would do.
Happy New Year
