I want to be able to retreive ss# of my employees (40) from worksheet A
when I am in worksheet B. I do not want to be looking back and forth or
write down in a post note.--

Can you give more details as to which column in worksheet A is ss#
located and what are the other columns or can you send an email to
sandip.dhamapurkarlt;atgt;gmaillt;dotgt;com. I will work it out for you.Wrote:

I have a spreadsheet titled Employees A1 (I have 5 locations). Tab A ,
column 1 has SS#s, col 2 has names. Then in tab 2, I have names only
(of the same employees from the same location). What I want to do is to
get their SS#s using the vlook function. I know how to use the IF
function. The problem with if is they have to be on the same exact
format. I need this because I am constantly adding and deleting
employees.--
