I created some Excel files (Excel 2000) and I was happily able to edit and
modify them. I then moved them to another directory ready to back them up.
Now whenever I try to access them or copy them I get quot;Access Deniedquot; How can
I recover from this please? I have tried re-applying XP and Office Service
Packs.
How did you move them? Maybe move them back to where they were then quot;Save ASquot;

Thanks. I tried this but it did not work. However after experimenting I
found that a higher level directory had got corrupted and thought that it was
no longer owned by me. I used my admin priveledges to reset the directory
and I am able to edit my files again. Thanks once again for your time and
effort.
