Well, one of two things, I'm either picking up a Tom Anderson Drop Top from a local store, or getting one special ordered for me. I'll let ya'll know what I do.

This is a genuine Gibson Custom Shop Firebird cover, new and unused. It is black with the Gibson name/logo in gold. Also perfect for upgrading that Epiphone Firebird if you know what I mean.

I'm slowly dialing in the needed presets..

I put them back the way I had them in originaly 81 neck and 85 bridge. The magic is back! I just did'nt like the 81 in the bridge. The 85 sounded ok in the neck, but in this guitar(Washburn NX6 Paduak) the combo did'nt sound that great with the quot;recomendedquot; setup. This guitar, to me, has a bright but smooth tone, if that makes any sense. The 81 was very shrill. Now it has a fat singing tone. The 85 was a bit flabby in the neck and now it barks and crunches right through. I've tried NUMEROUS PUs in this axe and I believe I've found the combo I was looking for with this setup.

This is my own creation, whose official purpose is part of the audition process for my band, but I had so much fun jamming over the backing that I thought I would make it available for y'all to jam along with.

Can anyone help me narrow the choices down a bit when it comes to getting THE bridge pickup for my 1980 Les Paul Custom? The stock pickups squeal badly when I play at higher volumes through my Marshall 2203, so it's definitely time for a change.
