need amp advice
i need an amp to practice in my room. it has to sound good at low volumes. i like everything to zeppelin to petty to the newer incubus stuff. would you tell me which amp, and/or a pedal to get. the fender ultimate chorus just isnt doing it for me when distorted or in overdrive.

FS/FT
I am offering my 2004 Highway 1 Telecaster for sale or trade. I will start off by saying that even though it's less than 6 months old, it doesn't look it. I have been asked if it is an actual 1950's vintage Tele. Well, that's when I'm in the clubs and it's dark and smokey. It has been quot;playedquot; and not handled with kid gloves. I have played the heck out of it but taken very good care of it. It just looks 30 years old because of the fragile lacquer finish. It's honey blonde with a maple fretboard; which, BTW, is not stock. I traded the original neck for a MIM 50's Classic Tele neck. The original neck was an American Series neck without the rolled fingerboard edges on the frets and modern 9.5quot; radius. The fets were medium-jumbo and it came with the standard quot;pingquot; tuners. The neck I have on it is vintage style with a 7.25quot; radius and vintage style frets. The tuners are vintage type as well. I really like the neck on this one (the new neck that is). It has the 3-saddle ashtray bridge. Stock, it has a w/b/w 8-hole pickguard. I will include any of the following extras as well:

Help with pickup selection on strat
Ok, I own a brand spanking new fender usa standard strat. I am completely obsessed with hendrix, and want to duplicate his tone. I had to save up for this guitar for 2 years, so i am interested in saving as much money as possible. Unfortunately for me I am pretty sensitive to tone, so I can distinguish pretty small differences in sound (I often wonder why anyone would think a solid state amp sounds as good as a tube amp), and am pretty picky. I saw the 60's fender custom shop reissue pickups and wondered about how they would sound, and if i could get any closer to a hendrix tone with seymor duncans. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Burstbucker 5
Hello everyone, I'm new here, but I have been reading these threads for awhile now. I got an Epi LP and I want to change the pickups, but I got a few ?'s. I've already read all the old threads on here about the clapton tone. I was wondering if the SL's had uneven bobbin windings like the BB's do? I also read on here how you all thought that Clapton used alnico 5 magnets on the Beano album. I got a friend that will sell me some BB5 for cheap. They use mismatched bobbin windings with alnico 5, so would this get me closer to the Beano album then SL's? I had another ? but I can't remember it now I've been waiting for my application to get approved so I can write on this forum and Ive forgotten the ?. Oh well.
Cheers

250K versus 500K ohm pots?
Lookink at the wiring diagram for both my RG and SZ, I see they both come stock with 500K ohm pots on the volume and tone controls. What effect would 250K pots make, and while i am at it should I upgrade the caps with orange drops? What size? There is a DDb and FSn in the RG and a JBb and Jazzn in the SZ.

Les Paul Faded Standard Pics amp; update
Welp...I'm kinda feeling like an @$$ right about now...whatever that purple gunk is all over the binding is , was giving the illusion of more issues than there really are with this thing. It was making the frets look all mangled on the ends.

Is it worth it?
Alright, I found a very vintage tube head on eBay, and I was wondering if this was a worthy purchase. I've been dreaming of owning a boutique tube amp, but never a head! And it's at a price that can't be beat!
