I am loading my only strat with a CC in the bridge and want two hum cancelling duncans for the neck and middle?
i know NOTHING about single coils but that normally they are NOISY

If I put an Invader bridge in the neck position what will be my result, will it be horrible? I bought two Invaders and got both of them in the bridge! What are my options? Please help me.........................

I am breaking down and putting a mini humbucker into my strat.

Ok, as some of you know, right now I'm powering a PA cabnet (with 15quot; speaker) with my Fender HRD. I really like the tone and bass response that I can get with the 15quot;, so should I keep playing through this PA cabnet, try and find an actual guitar or bass cabnet with a 15quot; or just go for a 2X12quot; cabnet and hope I'm still gettin' the bass response?

Can I cut the end off of a speaker cable and wire it up to a speaker to go in a combo amp?

With all the custom hype going on, I thought i would take advantage and read up on what people think of this PU(custom) vs the JB. Ive been wanting a pickup switch for a while, so i think i am ready now. If you have a SH-5 Custom (bridge) in black, i would like to trade my JB for it. Its still in good condition, i take care of my gear. Little over a year old, so it only has those tiny tiny scratches you get from normal wear. If nobody takes, I will eventually just buy one, and i will sell my JB immediately after. If you are interested in either, go ahead and post/PM me. I want to build a Hardtail strat but where can I even find a body? other then warmoth.

ell I've decided, with my appreciation for the Black Crowes and their appreciation in turn of the Rolling Stones..to keep my telecaster in Open G tuning, break out my slide a little bit, and master this tuning..since it seems a lot of people (not just the ones mentioned) are using it....so..anyone know any good sites for Open G lessons?

Strat with APS-1's and a lone HW-1 single in the bridge.

I've got a MIA Fender Strat, and I'm after a '78 custom shop humbucker to put in my guitar. The problem is, I really like the look of single coil pickups on a strat and would'nt want to put a full sized humbucker in. Could the custom shop wind me a '78 model like the little '59s? Also, would this be tapable so I could get the same as or close to the single coil out of phase sounds I have now?

I'm thinking about wiring variations again, and wondering what happens if you don't have ground connected to the volume pot. I would think that the a resistor in series with the coil should reduce the output, but do need the ground connection to reduce the pickup output to zero? Never tried it, any thoughts? Thank, Rusty

Okay, I'm thinking of bringing an amp or two out to Los Angeles in a few weeks. If I can arrange a space, would anyone be interested in plugging in (middle of the week)?

My custom tele arrived a week ago (maple neck, alder body), and it has a Phat Cat neck and a Custom Custom bridge.

compared to a custom? i have one in my guitar now. Everyone talks about it in the neck and i have one in the neck but i would like to know how it sounds in the bridge and if its good for rock.

Just want to say THANKS FOR EVERYBODY who replied to my thread (EMG or SD?), finally i decided to buy lil'SD (neck), Lil'59 (mid), and JB (Bridge) 2 days ago, and today i tried it for the 1st time, and i was completely blown away..... the tone was fantastic!! my lil'SD was really fat and powerful, yet still retain the bright tone a bit, really nice for soloing, my lil'59 gave me fat vintage tone it's kinda boosted no more crappy bright thin sound, and my JB wow...my God.....yes i lacks one thing, i can't get that deep muted power chord sound, but who cares i don't play those heavy metal music, it really sings very well, perfect for soloing!!

What do you guys think of these necks? I was going to get a mighty mite and work some voodoo on it, but these look like they have all the options I want and I won't have to do any of the work! Yes, I'm lazy, I know this!
