In an effort to get out of somewhat of a rut I want to know where you guys go to get your (free) tabs. I know a lot of the usual ones, but I hope to find some new good ones.

Since i'm installing some new pickups onto my Epi Les Paul and putting gold covers onto them, is it possible for me to use the gold pole scews already on my Epi pickups or do i have to buy new ones?

I kinda like the colour of it on pictures of ads, but stores around here only carry it in cherry or ebony. That means I will have to order it and most likely buy it if I do. (That's just guitar shop policy)
I've only seen one real live picture of it and it seemed lighter in colour than in the ads.

I was in GC the other day combing through all the stuff. I am in the market for a MIM 60's Strat. I was dead set on one when I saw these nice-looking guitars sitting in an area by themselves. They were quot;Brawleyquot; guitars. They are kind of a maple top Stratesque guitar. The one that got my attention was an S/S/H trans orange model with a Wilkinson trem. I was not only surprized. I was amazed at the over all quality. The fit an finish were great. The tone was good with the stock pickups too. Does anyone know anyhting about these guitars? I went to their website but it says it's temporarily down...

I've been listening to clips of Dr. Zs, Matchless, Bogner, Badcats, etc... over and over and I am really digging the Dr. Z amps. All of them are great at what they do but the do but the Z keeps calling. I just want to hear about your experience with Dr. Z amps. What did you like, what didn't you like, which models did you like better than others. I'm looking to go with a combo, maybe the 2x10. Is an amp like the MAZ38 with 38 watts gonna be about the same volume wise as a 40 watt HRDx? I've never played through a hand wired class A amp so I'm don't know? I was thinking of maybe a lowered powered Z like the MAZ18 to get earlier breakup. I'm not looking for an extreme ammount of head room, I'd actually like it to break up pretty early. If I need sparkley clean I've got the HRDx. The tones I'm really looking for are from Brad Pasley to Keith Urban but I'd like it to be able to cover some classic rock stuff also. So one of their more versitile amps I guess. It's a 4 hour round trip but I am going to go to the only Z dealer in Oklahoma and play them to get first hand experience. They are also a Badcat dealer so I'll check those out as well. But I just wanted to get your thoughts on the Dr. Z line of amps.

I read this article online about cutting the ground wire going to the bridge. The idea is, if you touch a hot mic, the strings won't complete the circuit and you won't have your Almonds roasted.

Ive had the idea in my head for a graphic/sticker to put on the pickguard of my strat, kinda like an SRV sorta thing, but different. Id want it to be roughly the same sorta size, maybe bigger, of the letters on the signature model by fender, but black stickers saying AJM. And on the last leg of the M id want it to come out down the lower horn of the pickguard.... anyone know how i can make this graphic, can anyone give me some ideas, and where i could get the sticker printed? Sorry for being kinda vague, can anyone help?

Looking for a nice reverb unit with a nice price tag. Looking to run it through the effects loop for Van halen type of Hall effect. Any suggestions?

I want to record our bands rehearsals on something good quality. I took my tape player last night which has a line-in for recording and from direct out of the desk it actually sounded good on the tape, but a tape is a pain in the a$$ so i was wondering what sort of things are around these days for recording...like idealy some sort of small portable hard drive th ing which you can plug into the direct out from the desk and record real time onto digital format. Is there such a thing?

I just recorded my amp (Marshall JCM 800 2203) with a new Shure SM57 mic I just bought. I just did a clip to show the tone, no fancy playing here. Any comments, suggestions for better recording sound are welcome, im very new at the whole recording thing. Thanks

Alright, ive given up on my pursuit for a tube amp for a time being, ( major pain in the ass trying to sell my solid state) So... ill be waiting till october around my birthday for the Fender Tube amp. For now im shopping for pedals. Heres what I want to get

I've got a zebra Air Norton and a double black FRED, both standard spaced and with 10 inches of lead left. The AN is basically new in box, I purchased it sealed and ended up going back to the active route. The FRED is in new condition, but I don't have the box.

hey guys..i was looking at trembucker spaced pickups for my american deluxe strat (in the bridge) and the original trembucker looks mighty tasty and ive more or less decided on that one but i have only seen that pickup with the II style polepieces. are those called parallel axis? i would really like to get that pickup in zebra with normal poles...does SD make such a pickup or would i have to go custom shop?

Okay up for grabs is an 18-month old Ibanez JS-100 Black in color... Very good condition with a little swirling on the front and a slight case of rash on the back.... Very fast neck and the whammy bar can keep you pre-occupied for hours!! $300 gets it to your door in an SKB hardshell case! I agree to eat shipping... Well it seems that yesterday I found a guy who works at fender. This guy said that he could get me anything made by fender at the price that it costs for them to make it. So it now seems that I will be purchasing a nice new tube amp over the summer and possibly a new guitar. So what are some of the nicer tube amps fender makes (currently). I don't have a guitar shop anywhere close that carries a lot of fender amps.
