Well it seems that yesterday I found a guy who works at fender. This guy said that he could get me anything made by fender at the price that it costs for them to make it. So it now seems that I will be purchasing a nice new tube amp over the summer and possibly a new guitar. So what are some of the nicer tube amps fender makes (currently). I don't have a guitar shop anywhere close that carries a lot of fender amps.

What guitar do you have? What music do you play? Can you get me an Esquire? Do you gig? What sound are you looking for?

I play mostly a lot of older rock. Not much new stuff if any. But yeah I'll play pretty much anything except country/bluegrass. Also right now I have an ibanez rg series. Right now I also have a fender deluxe 90 amp (SS). Is it even worth taking advantage of this deal and getting another amp by them or should I just save up and get something else. Of course I could always get rid of the deluxe 90. ... One more edit. I haven't asked this guy about the prices yet. How much do you all think it would be to make an amp like the Twin-amp (100 watt tube 2x12 speakers $1200)?

It's definitely worth taking advantage of, as long as you know exactly what you want so you won't be disappointed afterwards. I have no idea of how much the Twin will cost. I'd recommend going to a store and trying out whatever amp you want to buy first.
Can you get a Telecaster for me?

Yeah I think it's a great opportunity to get a great amp for much cheaper. Most Fender amps don't have the best distortion, if any, but all that I've played are very accepting of pedals. The Hot Rod series though, has good sounding overdrive for blues and classic rock. If you want to get heavier, it accepts pedals very well. As far as how much the Twin would cost, I can tell you that it'd probably be around $600-$700. But that's just a guess. I'm not sure how much Fender marks up their prices, and then how much the retailers mark them up.

Yeah, I'd probably go with a Hot Rod Deville (either 2x12 or 4x10) or a Hot Rod Deluxe.

Heck, you could start a resale business on ebay with these things....hmmmm.....just get them at cost and sell them a bit under guitar center prices on ebay and pocket the cash!

Play some Fender amps and then make your decision.

There are worlds of difference between the HotRods, the Twin, the Deluxe Reverb Reissue and the Cyber-Twin.

get the amp that best suits your playing ... I'd suggest the Pro Tube, Hot Rod or RI series

I don't quite understand why your asking us for prices though when your friend works there, and can tell you.

I play a fender Blues Deville (It seems like the same thing as a hot rod deville) and it has amazing tone. It's very good for blues, jazz, and rock IMO. I don't think it's very good for heavy metal or shred but I don't play much metal or shred.
