I kinda like the colour of it on pictures of ads, but stores around here only carry it in cherry or ebony. That means I will have to order it and most likely buy it if I do. (That's just guitar shop policy)
I've only seen one real live picture of it and it seemed lighter in colour than in the ads.
I really don't want to end up ordering a guitar only to find out that I don't like the colour that much.

I kinda want it to go from black to brown to light brown to natural wood colour. Like the Epi G400 deluxe.
I searched the net but only found one good picture and I dind't like what I saw. Looked like an Amber burst colour to me. Hope this all makes sense...

Anyone got some pictures?

Just to clarify, this is the one I'm talking about:
I saw one at a local guitar shop maybe a year ago. It was pretty nice from what I could remember.

I've also seen one at the local Sam A$$ and they are purrrty.

But it is NOT black on the edges, it's brown and then fades in to nice golden wood tone... kinda like that picture above...

Check out ESP's Viper 400 in sunburst. I have one and the edges starts off a very dark brown, almost black, and then fades into a nice, lighter shade of brown.

I personally like the color of the Gibson better tho. I think you'd be happier with the Gibby too. The Gibby is the better guitar IMO. Get it, and if you don't like it, I'll trade you for my Viper..... hehehe

Thanks for clearing that up lex, yeah I'll take a real SG over a viper any day. To me the Viper just doesn't look right.

I played one the other day and it was a fantastic guitar! I don't know if they have thicker necks or if it just seems that way because of the thin body...but it felt great. But the color, it was very cool but I couldn't help but dub it the poo-burst

yeah, I've got an SG faded, and thats waay more comfortable and easy to play than the Viper. I liked the SG so much I wanted another one. I was gassin for the same SG in natural burst but couldn't afford it, so I bought the Viper hoping it would play like the SG, but I was wrong. What a drag... I'm still gassin' for another SG...

My advice would be: GET ONE!! If you can afford it, get it. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. I'm very happy with my SG faded and I'm sure the standard will be twice as nice!

the natural burst SGs are BEAUTIFUL!! my friend has one and it's his main axe. awesome sounding guitar also. if you're getting a standard SG get the natural burst. i don't think you'd be disappointed with it.

See what I mean with the colour difference in ad pictures and in real life pics? It looks stunning though. I think I'm getting either this one or maybe one of the reissue models (which come in natural burst as well).

Yeah, I'm really going to get one! I'm just not shure about the right colour for it. Cherry, Ebony or Natural...

Go with the natural... I'm sure you'll be happy with it!

Damn, I wish those edges were just a tad darker on the burst! It would have been perfect! It does kinda look like a poo burst now
