Man, I am lovin' this new Gamp;L Invader I just picked up. Mahogany body with a maple cap. Could tell right away before plugging it in that it was much warmer than the swamp ash. The JB just sings. This is the guitar I've been searching for after trying 7 or 8 different types.

1 on that combo.Got any pics?

Congrats on finding one that works for you. I'm digging my Gamp;L Asat Deluxe that I picked up 6 weeks or so ago.

Yeah, I got her yesterday afternoon and spent about two hours with it right away.

That is a very sweet Carvin you picked up. Very classy looking. You are gonna love that mahogany. Enjoy!

Steve, the Gamp;L I had was almost exactly like yours, only mine was HSS and rosewood fretboard on birseye maple neck. You're totally right.....the maple mahogany version of that guitar is WAY better than the swampash version. That guitar is the best kept secret from most rock/metal players. If more knew how good it was, it'd be more popular than Jacksons, Schecters, or Andersons. I only sold mine to pay back my Gamp;L Legacy Deluxe. That Invader was a difficult guitar to pack up and see it sold.

I was just looking further at that auction. You really SCORED! IMO, that's the best Floyd equipped guitar out there, and you grabbed it. How's the neck? If mine had the chunky C, I would have never sold it........mine was a tad thinner. Your Invader is the best one I've ever seen!

Thanks! I came across that and did a search for new prices, saw thet were going for $1600 and i hit the 'buy it now' about 2 minutes after I came across it. I'm not exaggerating when I say it looks brand new. Not a scratch or mark on it. Came with the premium case also. He included the original receipt which shows he bought it in November, 2004 for $1610.

I just measured and compared the neck to my MIM Strat and they're the same. Fender says the MIM neck is C shaped so I guess it's the C. It is thicker than the Korean Wolfgang I had. You could actually bend a note with the neck of the Wolfie if you weren't careful but this one is thicker.
