Looking for a bridge pickup for chunky metal riffs and lead play. What's your take on these two pickups. The RG is basswood, and will be played thru a Valvetronics amp. Thanks for any input. Scott.

i seem to remember reading about an amp company where they hosted an amp building days. Show up, pay some money and they walk you through building an amp. I can't remember what the company was. Do you know who does that? Do you get a decent amp from that experience?

Hey, I want to replace my Warwick Thumb 6 Active MEC Soapbars with the ASB 6. Has anyone done this? Did you have to do any pup cavity mods? They're pretty much the same size - 32x118mm. Has anyone had a Duncan in a Warwick Thumb? how do they sound?

I've bought two V2 Gibson Flying V2 pick-ups.

I recently got a Jackson Kelly KE3, and it has been previously rewired but I am going to replace the volume pot because the current one is not working properly. I also plan on rewiring everything because it is done very poorly. I have one question though, on the diagram for the schematics of 2 humbuckers and 1 volume it says that green is ground but the way it is currently done black is ground. It has the stock duncan designed detonators in it. I was just curious if anyone knew what was the correct way to do it.

Hey, I need a guard for an Ibanez RG350DX. I've found a couple places that have them with the stock control layout, but I want a Hum/Sing, 1 volume knob layout. Anybody know where I should go?

I need a recommendation for a neck pickup. I have an alder strat with maple neck and pau ferro fretboard. I need a single coil sized mini humbucker or stack pickup. In the bridge I use JB or Custom. I play 80's and 90's metal. (i.e. Judas Priest, Dokken, Alice in chains, etc.) I currently have a Cool Rails in the neck, but its output doesn't match the bridge pickup. I don't want a dark sounding pickup though.

This weekend I pulled the trigger on a BC Rich NJ Classic Mockingbird. I usually wait awhile before exploring pickup options, but I am a tad curious about the stock pups. It came with 2 BSDM pickups. Here's all the info I can find.

i just changed the whole set of strings today cos the ones before were 6 months old and i snapped one of em..sooo... they went down and up without a problem what.. so ... ever. played for a couple of mins, went bat**** on the floyd, unpluged, tuned again, played again and they stayed in perfect tune.

Hey guys, i just wanted to give you the heads up, I may be letting go my Traynor YBA-1. I jsut got it a few weeks ago, but its not what im looking for. I like an el84 tone more than the 34 i get from it. It is in great condition, the only flaws are that the tolex on the tube guard is lifting up on the corners. Aside from that the tolex is in immaculate shape. It was just retubed with ame Svetlana EL34s and Mesa 12ax7s and sounds great. It has been converted to three prong power for safer operation and is yet unmodded. Currently my only stock amp. Im letting it go for $500 shipped to the continental US. Im still not sure if it will be up, I need to see if my Gamp;L sells and my GMP sells, but If anyone is interested, I may sell it.

i´ll send my guitar to a Luthier to re paint, to have a new pickguard build (White/blue/white pearloid). H-H, 1 pot routing and 3 way switch routing.

I have to say that this forum keeps me laughing....where else do you get to read things like a Dime sounds like a quot;pissed off weedeaterquot; and quot;how do know if its a Metal Live Wire?....If you plug it in and your amp explodes, its the metal version...quot; You have to admit, there aren't too many products out there, whether you like them or not, that get these kind of reviews and comments....I love those comments! I had/have both and thats pretty close (I actually like both pups also)

In an effort to get out of somewhat of a rut I want to know where you guys go to get your (free) tabs. I know a lot of the usual ones, but I hope to find some new good ones.
