I was trying to get some opinions on where the best position for a lace blue would be? Neck or Middle?, give me some feed back. thanks!

A student of mine has a real nice strat, and when you bend the 3rd string there is a obvious dead spot when the string passes between poles. None of the other pups do it, and none of the other strings. Is this a bad pup?Thanks again y'all

Okay guys, My Custom Guitar is almost completely finished. I just cant decide on what color to go with it. I was thinking of fades or bursts or maybe just solid, I dont know! Its got a flamed maple top, so I plan on dyeing the guitar. All suggestions and examples (i.e. Pics) are greatly appreciated. Help me guys!!

my 3 day old vox ad50vt is sounding really bad. the speaker is cutting out like its dying and it does it every 2 notes or so. Ive heard of this happening to this amp on some reviews but that was only at very high volumes and this is happening to me at all volumes at all different types of settings. i new these tones were too good to be true :dammit: , any advice? if i have to return it, what amp should i buy with my $370? i was looking at a cube 60 but i hadnt heard much about it.

What kind of Pups should i put in my SG to have the distortion sound of a gibson SG and the clear sound of a Les Paul?

I am looking at the Peavey xxx 1x12 for a practice amp and hopefuly soon for band practice. I was just wondering what your guy's opinons on the amp were and if it is a good idea or not to buy it off of eBay? I have been also looking at the Vox Ad50vt, and wondering it it makes more sense for me to buy that amp instead?

for those who have experienced it, how do EL34's sound in a series II single rectifier? i'm thinking of trying it just for kicks, since i do have a little bit of money saved up right now.

Is the P-90 stack from SD the only hum cancelling P-90s from SD? or is there any P-90 from the SD arsenal that is quieter then the Epiphone P-90s?

Any idea what wah pedal Satch was using on Strange Beautiful Music? Listening to quot;You Saved My Lifequot; and quot;What Breaks a Heartquot; I find he has a really killer wah sound. Hunting around there's a fair bit of info on the amps he used for that record, but nothing that I can find on the wah. I know live he's used a Dunop 535Q before, but he always seems to use different gear in the studio...
