Hey guys, I've changed my mind about some of the specs on my project guitar, so I need to get the 6 screw vintage version of the X-Bridge. This is an awesome piezo system, it really does sound like a good acoustic. It's a drop-in replacement for a two point trem with standard Strat spacing, or two post American standard trem. The wires are completely hidden, so your guitar will maintain a stock look. It's almost brand new, I installed it and tried it out, but it doesn't have more than an hour or two of playing time. All the wires are still at their original lengths, and it comes with all the parts. You may want to use an onboard preamp unit like the Baggs Ctrl-X, or some type of floor unit for best results. These retail for $120 new, I'm asking $85 shipped. I'll be out of town until Sunday, but I thought I'd post this now in case anyone is interested. I can get some pics for you when I get back, but for now, check out: from : localhost/www.lrbaggs.com/html/products..._xbridge.shtml

A classy strat rebuild...
well i finished the rebuild on my pewter strat. a new pickguard and pickups a graphite nut and chrome fender/schaller locking tuners made the project complete finally. it seems to have a touch of class to it now with the chrome covered pickups. in the bridge is a breed with a solid chrome cover i put on and potted...in the neck is a lace chrome dome (not a tele pickup) and again a great guard from warmoth!! this guitar just plain out ROCKS it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine...

Bridge pickups
Well, as some of you may know, I recently purchased a Phat Cat for the neck of my Epiphone. As some of you may also know, the machine heads are cheap pieces of pearloid... quot;excrementquot;, to keep everything family friendly. I was getting a little fret buzz, so I decided to raise the tailpiece a bit. When loosening the strings, the pearloid button on one of my machine heads cracked and broke off (again). I just decided to remove the strings altogether, as I'm going to have my Phat Cat installed in the near future.

Psychedelic Effects
Well in my current playing style, I am longing for some new effects. I am currently considering EHX(One of my favorite pedal brands) for effects. I am looking for Spacey, swelling, phased out etc.... Any recommendations?

Best Pickup for floating FR?
I find that with floating FR guitars, there is a marked reduction in the bass frequencies and some of the mids as well, resulting in a very trebly sounding guitar. Which is the best humbucker (in trembucker spacing) that would best compensate for this loss of bass and mids?

Should I Buy a Les Paul?
I bought an SG Standard a few months back and I'm still not thrilled with the tones I'm getting out of it. Ideally, I wanted a Billy Gibbons/Beano, nice thick bottom with a nasty biting top, and I thought the SG, (which I think is far more comfortable to play than an LP) would provide those tones. After numerous pup replacements (now I'm on a 59 bridge / Pearly Gates neck) I'm about to give up. I just think it's too thin sounding. Considering I am going for the Rev Gibbons vibe, which LP would you recommend if I go down this road?

Tonal differences between marshall 18 watt style and plexi?
I was cursious if someone who has played both or knows what each are capable of could help me out. Christian(The guy who invented fire) and I have talked about this somewhat, I plan on getting either one of those but I've been leaning towards the 1987x (and then modding it w/ post PIMV so it I can get usable overdrive at lower levels) lately. I've come across amps like these from : localhost/cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW which have definately caught my interest, this one has 2 channels, one being the regular 18 watt style, the other one with more gain. The amp has a master volume which is something I'll need. I have heard that the 18 watters are like a reasonable volume version of a plexi but still very loud. Keep in mind that I'm not looking to nail that plexi sound but it is the type of tone I'm after. If you have any input I'd love to hear it! Thanks

fret size
What difference to big or small frets make to the sound?
Personally I feel that the frets on my Charvel model 4 are HUGE and it bothers me when sliding.

Zinky
Just bought a Zinky Blue Velvet 25 watt 1X12 combo and I think she's a keeper. I had been wanting to buy a new amp for some time now, the Mesa Studio .22 wasn't working for me. And I definetly wanted something with a vintage Brit vibe, like an Orange/Marshall/Hiwatt. I had checked out a Budda, and couple different Dr.Z's, all great amps but the price was a bit too steep and no master vol. on the Dr. Z's. I had considered a Reeves, but I didn't want to do mail order. Went to GC (the Wal*Mart of music) and checked out a '59 Bassman reissue. Once again, no freaking master volume. The last place I went to didn't have much of anything, but they did have the Zinky. Plugged in my guitar (always bring your own to demo amps, trust me) and I finally found what I was looking for: a 2 channel amp w/master volume, reverb, and classic Brit crunch. What really surprised me is how it brought my Epi Goldtop w/P90's to life. Anyway, just wanted to share my G.A.S.

How to wire a single hum?
Bought a single humbucker 9Custom/59) hybrid from Kaetu a while ago. It doesn't seem to have 4 leads from it like a 4 conducter pup? Where do I wire the 2 leads? Is there a wiring diagram anywhere? Also what about a Custom Custom? Is there a wiring diagram for one of these?

To Cover Or Not To Cover
Hi there. I'm buying new pickups for my son's PRS Santana SE.
I've got it down to two combos, both Dimarzio. The choices are Virtual Hot PAF in the bridge with the Virtual PAF in the neck. Or the Air Norton in the neck with the Air Classic in the bridge. Any opinions on the difference between the two combos are greatly appreciated.
