I know this may sound weird but I'm wondering if a C-5 is hot enough to keep up with my other guitars for a heavy, drop C metal tone. I've got a JB in my McCarty Standard and am putting a Custom in my Custom 22. I want something ballsy for my singlecut but don't want to double up on the same pickups in different guitars. While I realize they won't sound the same because all my guitars are different in body shape, I just want some extra diversity. I do not want a Duncan Distortion especially. If I could find another pickup I would be happier. Any suggestions from people who have actually tried the C-5 in this particular situation let me know.

Been hearing and reading alot about this pedal brand, when were they produced, are they still produced? What were special with them? I'm very interested about this pedal called Maestro Fuzz, does anyone have any experience with that pedal?

For The First Time Since Switching To Tube Amps
I have no NOS tubes in my Marshall. I discovered tube amps after I joined this forum. Shortly after buying my first tube amp I ordered some NOS tubes, and have been a fan ever since. I recently tried some of the new Groove Tubes 12AX7's, and was so impressed I went out and bought enough to retube my entire amp.

Question about Ceramic magnet
If an A2 magnet is warm highs, big mids, soft bass tone and an A5 is brighter with tighter bass response tone what does a Ceramic magnet have going for it. I`ve thought about trying a Custom but I`m not sure about the ceramic magnet. Please excuse my lack of smarts in this area.

Convertible Variable Power?
The Variable Power Control on my convertible doesn't seem to make that much of a difference, even when i turn it down to 5w. Anyone knows how to fix this so it will work more or less like a real attunetor?

MIM Standard Strat F/S!!
It's a 1995 MIM Standard Strat with a Rosewood board. Olympic white. It got a new Graph-Tech nut a couple weeks ago and a new tremelo arm. It comes with a cheap garden variety case, but it'll keep packing peanuts, etc. off of it during shipping. I'd rate the overall condition as 8.5/10. There are a few discolorations from it's age and a few VERY minor dings and pick scratches.

All Rosewood neck
I'm considering eventually swapping the neck on my JS600 out with something a bit fatter. The body resonates like crazy, the neck is just a bit dead though and I think a nice piece of wood would really make the thing come alive. Anyways, I'm considering a mahogany/ebony neck, but I'm also curious how an all-rosewood neck would pair up with the basswood body of my JS.
