would go well with a TriAxis 2:90 for playing live ? or should i maybe pick up a different poweramp ? will the 2:90 be enough for speakers monitors for me ?

Guys after getting my 59 trembucker in my bridge I found that the tones were thicker and warmer. I love the sound of humbuckers now. I began to use my neck standard strat sc pickup and found that it was too muddy. Do you guys know of any good choices of neck humbuckers that don't have the muddy type of tone? Right now I considering to get a Dimarzio Super Distortion 2 in the neck because of the bright sound it has. I'd say that right now I'm into using moderate to high moderate high distortion right now. Sometimes I crank the distortion all the way up.

I'm sorry if this has been recently posted. Whatever stock pots and caps are in my Reverend Slingshot don't preserve much top end as I turn the volume down. Thus, things tend to get muddy if I'm using less than full volume. What caps work well with a set of p-90s? I have a 1000pf cap sitting here that I could use in the guitar, but I think it might keep a little too much top end. What do you guys use with your p-90s?

I went to the local music shop with an old family friend who now lives in Lexington outside of Austin. He needed new strings and is just now starting to learn to play in his early 40's, and I must say, he's gotten pretty good. Anyway, while he's talking to the shop owner I see a flashy Johnson madolin and pick it up. I just went to town on that thing, basically a really upbeat bluegrass thing. I've never picked up a mandolin before in my life. I guess listening to Nicklecreek and Allison Krauss really does play off. Now, anyone got a mandolin they'd like to get rid of?

Alright, I need this. Neal Schons LP has a push/pull put that activates a wah, and the knob changes the frequency of the built in wah. I NEED to know how to do this, it would be perfect for me, as I'd only use a wah in c0cked positions anyways. Anyone know how?

So the latest plan is to keep my Candy Apple red Tex-Mex Tele in its entirely, but to convert it from a Fat Tele into a slightly permuted Nashville Tele, so I'll be buying a new pickguard to accomadate two Strat pickups rather than the single HB slot in the current white/black/white one.

i've got a maple/maple made in japan tele neck (don't know what year it is. it was a project guitar i bought from someone) that i'd like to trade for one with a rosewood fretboard (a strat neck is fine).

Does anyone know where I can find the diagrams on how to do mods such as true bypass, vocal, or any other mod to either Cry Baby or Vox wahs and where to get the parts I need?

Up for grabs is a limited run Gibson V 98. This is a 67' reissue but shouldn't be mistaken for cheaper or poorer quality 67' reissues that are on the market currently. This puppy has a list of $2098 compared to the 67' reissue's $1498.

I am truly amazed at how great this pickup sounds in the bridge position of my Strat. I've read that this is one of Duncans most underrated pickups and I can tell you that it has exceeded all my expectations. I gave it a test drive thru my modified Peavey Classic 30 and my Fender DRRI. First off, the overall balance is superb and the high end has a great strength to it. By strength I mean 'push.' Not at all thin and wimpy. Played clean you can hear a slight rise in the mids but it's not the annoying kind that grinds on your ears. Roll the volume knob on the guitar down and the tone chimes and cleans up beautifully without losing any low end strength. Really, it's one of the nicest clean tones for a bridge humbucker that I've heard to date. I get my overdrive and distortion thru pedals and the articulation from this pickup comes thru clear as a bell even with the gain on both pedals turned up. Very, very precise and again, the strenght from the high end is just fabulous. Very clear and not at all muddy played clean or with gain. I've tried a number of differant pickups in my Strat. Air Zone, Air Norton, Air Classic, Virtual PAF (which is now in my Les Paul-love it!!) Lil '59 and the Custom Custom. I know that tone is SO subjective and while these are all great pickups I was never truly satisfied with what I was hearing and I'd just about given up on finding a humbucker for my Strat. I'd read that the Blues Saraceno was suppose to give a PAF quality to thinner sounding guitars but I really was not expecting the end result. I'm not kidding when I say that my Strat now sounds every bit as full as my Les Paul. I would HIGHLY recommend this pickup in the bridge of a Strat.

Hi guys, I recorded some Creeping Death by Metallica. Hope you guys like this one, I worked on it for some time now. BTW its the creeping death at the top, the newest one, not the old ones. Heres the link:

The pickup works fine but I noticed that he just clipped one of the old cables from the volume pot so there's like a half an inch of old cable just sticking out from the volume pot not connected to anything. Also, the quot;barequot; wire is a lot longer than it was on the older pickup, leaving much of it exposed. My quesion is, should I cleanup the old cable sticking out from the volume pot and also do something about the highly exposed bare wire and if not, is this effecting the performance of the pickup at all? Thanks

I've been playing around with the idea of having in-built guitar effects for my Squier, just fr fun. While browsing around the internet, I stumbled across these: from : localhost/ and from : localhost/do you think, could those be put on the some pcboard, with a switch changing the caps and adding/bypassing the extra parts? Could it work inside a guitar? Grounding issues? I thought about wrapping the pcboard into tape or something, insulating it and shielding the entire inside cavity of the geetar with aluminum foil. Any other ideas?

My Strat is a Deluxe Plus from '95 and it has a four bolt neck with a small hole in the neckplate. I assume it's for adjusting the tilt of the neck, how does this work? I've never seen it disassembled. If I wanted to replace the body with a Warmoth will any Strat body work? Basically I'm wondering what's going on in there...
