I'm trying to wire up my JB to a 6-way switch. Of course the switch didn't come with instructions. I found a diagram online, but the color code doesn't match up with SDs. I found the following on the SD website:

theory question
Well, I'm all new to theory, and I've been reading some stuff on a homepage, where it says I should start with learning the C major scale (think it's called that in english, but I don't know), and there's some pictures..For example, they say this is all the tones on the fretboard:
But on the picture there's 24 frets, and I only have 22, so how can I use those theory things on my guitar??

Lame GAS post
Hi folks,
I have just seen a NOS Gibson Nighthawk (2-pickup, tobacco sunburst) for a price close to 950 Bucks. As you may know I'm a huge fan of the Gibson The Hawk, and although the Nighthawk is a slightly different beast, I want it too. These birds are not made anymore (not since 1998 or so), and the price seems right to me. Here in the Czech Rep a faded Flying V goes for about 1400 Bucks (new) and a LP Studio for about 1600 Bucks (you know, dealer's margin, customs, value added tax and all that kinda thing).

Hopefully A Quick Solution For Removing Vox Valvetronix Tubes?
Thought this might work.Haven't tryed it yet though...First the rubber around the preamp tube(s) needs to be removed.I'm then hoping too have enough room to get these spark plug wire puller pliers around the tube so I can safely yank them out of the amp without having to spend an hour getting to the tubes! Once the amp is out of warranty I'll enlarge the holes around the tubes with a dremel tool if this plier doesn't get enough room to access the tubes..John; I was thinking about something, but first, is access to the tubes from the side of the tube, or the top?

pronouncing Seth's last name?
Anyone know the proper way to say Seth Lover's last name, or is it simply the obvious quot;Love-erquot; ?

SD Pickup bases
I was wondering if there is anyway to get SD replacement pickup bases.
My wife found me a 64 Gibson Melody Maker that was modified (Pat Travers style), and has two humbuckers in it. I took them out and they are SD Pickups. One is a 59N, the other a JBJ. The problem is, rather than route it deeper, the tabs were cut down and modified to be shorter and screwed directly to the body. I am going to try and get this guitar right and route it so the pickup height adjusters can be utilized.Hopefully someone knows where I can pick a couple of these up.

Could use some help with guitar port and other things.
Hey guys, do you have any good settings for playing Iron Maiden on the Guitar Port? I thought of recording my take on the solos in the trooper, but I absolutly stink at setting amps up. I guess it sounds ok now but could be hell a lot better =). I use emg HZ pickups in an all mahogny double cutaway guitar with ebony fretboard if that matters =).

Trembucker Seth Lover?
I have a strat and want to put a Seth Lover in the bridge. Since Seths arent f-spaced/trembucker spaced, should I go through the hassle of the custom shop to get a trembucker Seth made or should I just get a snormal spaced one?

Little '59 for a Strat and the Pickguard
I'm having some trouble installing a Little '59 in the bridge position of my Strat. It seems to be a bit larger than the hole for the bridge pickup in the pick guard. My question is, is there something else that I should do? I would be a bit skeptical about forcing the pickup through without knowing that it has to be done.

Drop D and Vintage trem tuning
I have a problem I would like to see if you guys know the best solution! My OLP MM1 Axis has a standard trem on it. Now this guitar in standard tuning will stay in tune pretty well with HEAVY trem use, I'm talking bottoming it out, I treat it like a Floyd and it handles it very well. Now when I'm drop D it goes incredibly out of tune, it actually seems to pull the D sharp and the other strings flat a bunch. This is a problem since I need this for Seraphim shows and our stuff is in Drop D. Now when I got the gutiar I knew it would need upgrades. I have upgraded the pickups and it KICKS! But what I'm thinking, I'm guessing a set of Sperzel locking tuners would fix this problem immidiately correct? What are your guys thoughts on the matter?
