Hey guys, im about to buy a seymour duncan AH1bg, but was there ever such a thing?!i have checked through the hole site, and google, and found no info on an allan holdsworth humbucker!?does any one know if this is for real or just falsely named?!thanx

I was going to custom order one with an ebony fret board but decided I'd go with a rosewood (since I already have ebony on the Dean). I went with Wolfe Guitars...a little more money but his reputation and specs on the guitar prompted me to go there. The guitar is exactly what I'd order if I did a custom order (after reading Kanight's reviews on his). I'm not sure about the Seth Lovers (see post in pickup lounge) but I've heard so many rave reviews about them from LP players I figured I'd give them a whirl.

So i finally got the gas to buy a Jap 80's fender strat, and a laney VC30 1x12. Only thing is though, i'm alittle dissapointed with the strat. Sounds pretty much identical to my 100 dollar ( US ) Yamha eg 112. The pickups feel sterile almost. It has alittle quack, but no fatness. No 'balls'. But i'm thinking it could be the Amp, but ive fiddled with the Treble/Bass/Middle, and it doesnt do much i'm afraid. Any suggestions?

#1. Do the large size Bogner 2x12's come stock with two Vintage 30's, or the V30/CL80 combo? If they come with both, which is more common, and what do you guys think of the tone of the cab, with one or the other?

Need wiring info for SRV's quot;Charliequot;, the one with the lipstick tubes, Iv'e looked on the web but most sites simply claim that it's non-Fender.

Is it possible to take a JB or Jazz pickup w/out a cover and put one on? I've seen some good pickups for a fair price on ebay, but none w/gold covers which I want. So would it be possible, or difficult to do this? Thanks!

I'm thinking of moving some gear around to buy a rackmounted POD PRO XT.

i just wanted to know what everyone thought, i am having my gamp;l legacy cutomized, i play rock, funk and jazz, what would be a good set of pickups? i was thinking the sh-1 59 might be a good set, i have heard it is a little bassy and that is what i want on the bridge position for a thick distortion sound, but is it over kill on the low end in the neck position, should i put a alnico 2 in the neck position instead, and do these sh-1's rock heavy if it is needed, and then cleanup when needed, i know the jb rocks but i feel it does not have enough low end fullness, that is why i am thinking of sh-1's, i need all around flexable pickup's that can do a little of everything, is this a good selection? has anyone used these on a Gamp;L before, does a neck position sh-1 sound less bassy on a legacy (strat) than on a les paul?

I have a Michael Kelly Patriot Q that I cant say enough great things about.. It plays like a dream, sustains forever, sounds fantastic and was very reasonably priced. I have never got to play the Kelly thru my main amp rig (peavy Ultra plus and carvin cab) and have been wondering how it would sound and how it would compare to my LP? Well, today, I got to do a back to back comparo.. OMG!!!! The Kelly sounded amazing!!! Almost all the same full chunky sound but with less mud. I thought the LP would be brighter because of the thicker maple cap, but to my suprise, the Patriot has a more cutting tone.. Even more of a suprise is the tone I was getting from neck pups.. Im a tinkerer and change pups in everything. I hadnt had the time or money to change the neck pup in the Michael Kelly. But I was getting some of the sweetest and most musical tones out of it. Im just blown away!! I wanted to get a couple more LPs to have a variety of pup combos, but not anymore.. Ill save a pile of money and get a couple more Patriots! Plus, the patriot has a bigger fretwire which I like too.. Im amazed and Im stoked!!!
