Does the Cool Rails have enough power to balance with the L500 XL?
Does the Cool Rails have enough power to balance with the L500 XL?
I am going to swap the stock TB-12 amp; ESP SH-100 pups with the L500 XL and another single coil. Maybe the Cool Rails, how about the DiMarzio Pro Track? I am not sure right now, need your cents. Thanks!

toggle switch trouble?!?!
ok, on my kelly, i just got new pu's in cuz the tech thought it was the pu's that werent good (i bought it used so that didnt seem to irrational)... so that was good, got it back today.. played fine.. NOW the bridge pickup position wont work (on the middle it only picks up the neck) i opened the back of it thinkin it was the switch but everything seemed to be intact.. there was a bare wire on the position wired to something which i thought was wierd but i dunno bout this.. (the wire had insulation near the toggle but not to the pot or whatever they wire it to) im thinkin that bare wire might be touching something and causing a short or if theres something wrong... note that this was the exact same problem that made me go to the tech in the first place

Newbie happy with the 59s
Hello all, great forum! I thought I'd introduce myself with my latest (final? hah) pickup incarnation of my '88 Ibanez 540R. Last week I finished putting in two Little 59s (neck and middle) and a standard 59 for the bridge position. I have them all split to function as single coils with push-pull pots (tone controls for each pup) activating humbucker mode.

What to do when you need to mic an amp at a venue w/o PA?
I changed my mind from the twin to the deluxe reverb, but what do you guys do when you have to play at a venue that's fairly large and outdoors, but doesn't have a PA?

6l6's in a 6v6 amp?
i read about this from somebody at the fender forum. They said that as long as the bias was set properly this was ok. Is this safe, and how much more wattage/headroom would it give?

Wiring Problems
I have a USA BC Rich Bich Suprem with an SH-2 in the neck and an SH-5 in the bridge. I have bypassed all the active electronics in the Bich and have just a standard wiring as per your wiring diagram for 2 Hum, 2 Vol, 1 tone and a 3-way. The problem I am having is that while initially everything works fine after about 10-15 mins of playin the volume on the bridge pickup cuts out almost completely as if I had just turned the volume knob almost completely down. If I then unsolder the switch and resolder it, it's fine for another 10 mins or so. I have tried using the other side of the switch, different pots bypassing the tone and resoldering all the connections. No matter what I do the problem constantly returns. At the same time this is happening there is no effect what so ever to the volume level of the neck pickup. As an aside I have the same exact problem with the same exact set up in a USA BC Rich Mockingbird. I have no idea what to do now. Its almost like the capacitor is storing a charge and then sucking the power away from the humbucker but if that were the case it would seem to me that the bridge pickup would be affected too, but it is not. As far as I can see i have everything wried properly according to your diagram. The only difference is that instead of the 500K tone pots and .47 capacitor I have the factory 250K pots with .23 capacitor. Any ideas?

Ampeg Jet/Reverb Rocket?
hey fellas......i was just out to Guitar Center to do some amp shopping, and i played through a Ampeg Super Jet, which i think it just a reissue of their 60s Jet model?.....anyways, it sounded really cool, i like the clean tone of it, and it became overdriven really nicely

Where Are The Reviews On The New Duncan Noiseless?
I bailed out on trying these pickups simply because I'm lefty and don't have the time nor the ambition to rewire Lew's Noiseless pickups onto one of my own lefty guards...

Who uses a Distortion Trembucker? (PA-TB2)
The quot;who uses a screamin demonquot; thread got me to wondering the same thing about the Distortion Trembucker.
(Not to be confused with a tremspaced Distortion.)

Introducing quot;Vibra Stompquot;..Watchall think??
Heres a tremelo kit from I must first give props to bungalowbill for helping me name it. (sorry dude someone already came up with VibroStomp, but you still pointed me right). This was a very fun pedal to build and when I plugged it in and it worked the first time with no flaws I was quite excited. I must say that I am quite impressed with sound quality. I will give a full review later after the honeymoon period.

Unbelievable
Some of you probably remember the fiasco I had with a shop that I commissioned to make an Ibanez JS-style guitar body and neck for me, which after a long wait turned up some horrible craftsmanship and resulted in me returning the parts for a refund. Looks like someone else got stuck with them . I want to know where he pulled that number $1300 from, the completely finished body and neck cost me exactly HALF of that.
