I bailed out on trying these pickups simply because I'm lefty and don't have the time nor the ambition to rewire Lew's Noiseless pickups onto one of my own lefty guards...

I'm awaiting reviews from the other guys that tryed out these pickups..I have read Lew's reviews and that Lew likes them,but what about GJ,Curly etc.views?

If it weren't for me being lefty,I would have loved to be on the review board..

You have my set Christian? Gearjoneser must have sent them to you. I was hoping he would. Do you have a questionaire to send to Evan with your evaluations? If not I'll mail you one. That was the whole point of sending my only set out to all of you guys: just to help Evan out with the evaluation of these new prototypes.

How do you like the blender pot I put in that pickguard? Pretty useful for you?

As for reviews, I did post a few positive comments about them but wasn't certain if Evan wanted me to go into alot of detail about them so I held back a little.

Maybe when Evan gets back we can ask him if it's OK if we post our reviews.

I do have the set, and I also have a questionaire...Gary included a copy for everybody with a seheet of addresses for easy mailing...I tell you the man thinks of everything!!! I have done a few shoot outs here with my stuff as well as a few thing I borrowed from buddies to do this, but I am gonna go tomorrow and compare them to several sets of Fender noiseless, Lace Sensors, EMG's, and I borrowed a Strat tonight with Kinmans...that contest will start real soon!!! As for the blender pot, it's kinda awkard for me...I had my last Strat with a 3 way (neck/neck bridge/bridge) and the middle was on a blender...it's great for getting different timbers but for live use I prefer a Switch, but I must say...that new set-up you were talking about with the tapped bridge and the mega switch sounds killer...we agree on lots of things...I HATE the middle pickup alone on a strat, I mush prefer the neck and bridge instead! I am gonna to get a set of Strat pups from MJ this weekend, but I might have to get another bridge pup to go with it (long story) and if I do, I will be getting a tapped one!

I will have your pickups back in the mail very soon, but I really want to run them against several set of other noiseless pups and see how they do.

Well, you get the idea! it will be a good shoot out too...a budy of mine (well...my dad actually) playes a Jimmy Vaughan Strat with Kinmans...

I'm kinda curious about this too. Especially since Lew made this post. I almost asked about it in that thread, but figured I'd just sit back and wait for the final reviews to roll in.

This will be interesting to see who, or what, wins.

I'll just say this:

If I were still gigging I'd use the new Duncan Noiseless pickups onstage in a heart beat. They have a very satisfying and musical tone I can easily live with.

In the studio I'd probably still want to use my '63 Strat or one of my Strats with true single coils.

But onstage in a bar where the owner/bartender may have wired the stage lights and outlets in whatever configuration suited his inexperienced fancy, where police calls used to sometimes come through my amps, where the mixer they use at the bar to crush ice and make drinks sometimes came through my amps in all of it's grinding glory in the middle of a ballad:
The new Noiseless Pickups would be a God-send.

Don't know if they'd help with the ice crusher/mixer thing or not though!

Wish I wasn't lefty or I'd be all over those pickups! I'll trust all the reviews though and it saves me alot of extra hassle...Especially having to give them back after all the work involved! How about Doc Barlo's ears?

Now just so that I'm clear on this; the new noiseless set is one set. There isn't a new hot noiseless or vintage noiseless or custom noiseless lol. You get the idea anyway!

If what I suspect is true i.e., that it is one set, is there a plan to upgrade the hot noiseless etc.? Or the teles?
