Im mostly now into metal...Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera type stuff
But punk is good too!
It has a solo setting with a gain, Shape, and level knob(gets e'qs from crunch channel) The Crunch channel has gain, volume, bass, mid, treble.
and no one better tell him quot;out on the curb on garbage dayquot;
sorry bro, cant help you - never played one of those ... but i am guessing that for the music you are into, alot of scooped out mids and high gain are going to be common
twiddle them yourself and find what YOU like!! .. trust your ears .. only you know the sound that is in your dreams
good luck

Well, when you tell a forum bro that his project guitar guitar is the worst guitar you've ever seen...
Does the Crate manual or website offer any setting suggestions? maybe you should check that out.

:dammit: :******:
Twiddle the knobs around, one by one, and when you find a particular setting that works for you, write it down and keep it at that. I find that I almost never use quot;suggestedquot; settings and I can get around better if i just LISTEN to the amp rather than LOOK at the knobs.
Take the quot;gquot; out of quot;gearquot; and what do you have?
Guitar Toad, WTF did you do to your STRAT....AHHHHH

You like it. It's maxxed out and really versatile now. I've never seen a strat with 5 SC pup before. So, I thought why not.
I was just playing around with Image editor and wanted to alter its look.

AAAAAH, MAAAAN....You just took all the fun out of this thread
You´ll probably want the gain on 10, the Bass dimed, the mids on about 11 O-clock and the Treble at about 2 O-clock for starters, but that´s about as much as I can help you...never met a crate I liked, so I don´t have more than basic experience, sorry....
Master Volume on 0.
Just kidding
It'll be useful for setting a different amp on top of when you get one, other than that I'm drawing a blank. In all seriousness I have an old Crate td-50c that I use for lower volume practice from time to time. I find that the only way to get a decent OD tone is w/ bass on 10 or so, mids 5-7, treble 6-8 and that damn shape knob somewhere near the middle. If that shape knob is too far up or down everything sounds like sh!te.
