Hi guys.
I am trying to find a way to blend between an a and b output like the wet/dry blend pot for an FX loop. Do I need a special pot for that or do I just use a normal pot? If the latter, how do you wire that?
Thanks!

There's several ways to do this. Use this pic as a reference:You could do the first way shown, using a single pot. (Must be linear taper.) The problem with that is, both signals will be attenuated in the middle, and you may have some bleed over from wet to dry.

The second way uses a quot;blend potquot;, as sold at Stew-Mac and others. This way would be better. Both signals are at full strength in the middle, and you can turn down one or the other by which way you turn the pot. Also, the pot will probably have a center detent, that could be desirable.

The third way, which I haven't shown, would be to construct a mini-mixer, to mix the two signals. Thats not as hard as it sounds. It only requires an IC, and a few resistors and capacitors. But you would have to provide power from somewhere.

Let me know on that last one, and I can draw you a simple circuit.

that's great! I thought that I might need to get a special blend pot, but i wasn't sure. I'll round one up from stew mac!
