I have one in an ash guitar how will it sound it alder?

itll sound a little less bright and have a little more mids

quot; The Sound Of JB In Alderquot; ...Is like music to my ears .

I was hoping for more mids and a fuller sound.

youll get more mids, ash is more bottom and top where alder is a little more balanced

...youll love it, just ask Jake and Warren, George while youre at it and etc......lol!

Don't forget about the fretboard material as well.....ebony vs rosewood is a fairly large change in sound...especially with pickups like the JB IMO.

I've got a JB trembucker in my alder body Lynch model ESP..thing sounds great...nice n' tight distortion..even good with a clean for some funkification

I guess I will be happy I was wondering what all of the guitars in the 80's metal scene were made of. I have not bought the new guitar yet. I am this weekend.
thanks

Those jackson were made of alder and poplar i guess
HAHAHAHAHAHHAH
i like Poplar, but never tried alder.
i have a fender mij squier series reissue 1950.
but don´t know the BODY WOOD.
maybe basswood, maybe ash, maybe alder. and maybe poplar.
but i think it´s Alder or ash. basswood not.
