i made a thread here a few months ago because i was in need of a 12 string nut for a project.

someone gave me a link to graphtech's site and i found what i needed, but didn't get around to ordering it til just now.

then i saw that shipping is going to be $20. that's ridiculous, so now i'm looking for other options.

if anyone knows of where i can get one (even if it means finding one at your local guitar shop-i'll pay you for it plus shipping and probably even a finder's fee), i'd really appreciate it.

I just bought a graphite nut from graphtech. The shipping was quite reasonable for me. It was shipped to my door just short of (nut shipping =) $13 grand total.

EDIT: nope. the only shipping option i'm getting is fedex ground for $20.

Their shipping is pretty reasonable and extremely fast. Standard shipping gets what I ordered to me in 2 days.

last i checked there weren't any pre-slotted 12 string nuts on stewmac, but i shall check again!

nope. graphtech is not a requirement, its just the only place i knew of to get one.

i'll check out what you've told me (i'm assuming i can just throw a '.com' at the end of that and find a website).

well crap. now i have a new problem.

i need a 1.75quot; (that's 1 3/4quot; for your fraction lovers) nut instead of the more common 1 7/8quot;.

they have that at the graphtech site, but again, $20 for shipping is ridiculous.
