...and theres not a single shop that sells pup bolts. The best i've found have been 3mm, but i do believe the ones used for my pup are 2mm.

Advice please: custom pickguard
After four e-mails back and forth between a clueless sales rep I finally got a quote for a Tele pickguard shipping from Warmoth. $36.50 US total. That's a little more than I wanted to spend on a piece of vinyl, so I wanted to ask the gurus here for some tips.

My G12H30 Just Arrived!
Going to put this in my Peavey Classic 30...anything I should be careful of when performing the speaker transplant? I've got an experienced electronics guy doing it but I want to be extra careful.

Standby on tube amp (not the usual quot;how longquot; question)
When I have played and put my Bluesbreaker into standby it sometimes does a quite loud quot;popquot; sound... All since I bought it it has done that, but now it seems to do it alot more often now. I have turned the guitar volume to 0 before switching to standby.

Good replacement for a Epip Sheraton 2 JAZZ
Okay, I like the pickups in this guitar..(Epiphone Sheraton 2) but there not awesome. I want to keep my neck pickup (nice full sound) but my bridge pickup has got to go. It is way too week, both playing clean and distorted.. I want something that is powerfull enough to play System of Down kind of stuff (plus some speed metal) but then again I also want to somthing calm when it is clean (dont want any distortion while playing clean....) Anyone have any suggestions? -Kyle

I'm now an OFFICIAL Hamer owner!
Okay, I am starting to get it. Artist Korina P90. The neck is about somewhere between a 50's and 60's LP. It needs some set up attention. Fretting a B note on the A string yields a bit of a sharp note. I'm going to put some 10's on it and get it set up just right such that adjusting the nut will be the last thing I *have* to do.

Fender Blues Junior
After playing this amp, I think its the one for me. Whats the deal with a solid state rectifier. just wondering what the advantages are of a tube rectifier.

Metal covers on Fender Pre amp Tubes
Does anyone know what purpose the metal covers serve? My DRRI was making some static noise with nothing plugged in, I took the covers off to test/tap the tubes. When I plugged the amp back in, with no covers, there was no static.
Thanks for any info.
