Wiring help needed.
Hi guys.
I could sure use some help. I have a pair of 4 wire Dimarzio's that I would like to use for my first project guitar. Nothing fancy for the wiring setup, just 3 positions..neck, both, bridge. 1 volume and 1 tone pot. I'm pretty sure that the red wire is the same as the black on a Duncan and the rest are the same so I've been looking at a bunch of diagrams here and on the Ibanez site but I can't get it right. The problem is I'm not sure how to hook up the selector switch.

BREED neck model in the bridge spot?
I am seeing that the breed neck model is absolutely great in the bridge spot?
I read that it has the dynamics and sensitivity of a duncan 59 but it is hotter?

Help with a online dealer and a pickup
Im considering getting this pickup from : localhost/at this website. I wondering if any of you guys have experience with this website? I'm getting the TB59-1b version of this pickup cause I have read that the trembucker versions sound better when used with a strat because of the spacing between the strings on them. I just want to hear your guys opinion on this choice if its good or bad.

My Charvel 750xl collection
Well, I finally got all the pickup swapping, wiring, restringing, etc. done on my 750xl's. So, here are a couple of group shots.
This next shot is of the two that have consecutive serial numbers. They have been passed around for a while now over at the Jackson/Charvel board, the whores! I finally got the red one after missing out a couple of times.

Opinions please, new Indyguitarist overdrive/distortion pedal
I've been working on a different overdrive/distortion for several weeks now, my intent is for it to be competition for the fulltone ocd/AM king of tone area -- please take a listen and tell me if you like/don't like, or what you think it is lacking:

4-pole Strat switch and Tone control questions
Where can I find a 4-pole 5-way switch for strat that won't cost me $15 plus $10 shipping. I guess the $15 isn't bad, it's paying that much for shipping (Allparts/WD)

Crackling pots
I went for a second test-drive of the Marshall 2554 combo I'm thinking of buying, and noticed that at least 3 of the pots crackled badly, particularly with a bit of gain. It made the volume almost cut out ; I actually thought it was a problem with the guitar or the jack, but not so. The salesman sprayed some contact cleaner onto them, and two of the pots cleaned up pretty well, but the mids control is still pretty bad ; when you move it from on extremity to the other, all you notice is crackling and very little change in the tone. I almost got the impression that the quality of the sound deteriorated the more I turned the pot to and fro. My question is this : how serious/expensive a problem could this potentially be ? I'm not ready for DIY amp repairs, by the way.

Set of 59's in a Hollowbody Jazz Guitar???
I've got a Heritage H575 Jazz guitar. To those who don't know this model, the guitar is pretty much a copy of a Gibson ES-175. (Actually, the Heritage is all solid wood, no laminated top on this puppy).

Technical Amp Question! (need help!)
Hello everyone! I have a Peavey Heritage amp that was sitting in a garage for a while. On the day I got it I fired it up and it sounded ok. One speaker had a hole in it but it was fine otherwise. (keeping in mind the screwed up speaker). The power was ok and all the knobs functioned well. Now... I took the speakers out to repair them and to clean the mold out of the inside of the cabinet. I didnt touch anything else in there and i didnt get anything in there wet while cleaning.

The verdict is in on the Antiquity II Surfer...
I installed an Antiquity II Surfer in the neck position of my Godin LGT last night and all I have to say is...WOW! This pickup is hands down the best strat pickup I've played. It's chimey, sweet, smooth, sounds great both clean and under mild to moderate overdrive...everything I could ever want in a strat pickup. It also has this quot;mojoquot; about it that I haven't heard in any of the other single-coil pickups I've tried in this guitar (fender texas special, aps-2). It's hard to explain, but it's just more complex sounding with a certain quot;airquot; around the notes.
