ok ive been posting alot on here lately about getting a new amp. i need something to basically practice in my room with, but also be loud enough and have enough tone to play in a small band with. i was looking and 3 amps. a used fender blues jr[15 watts all tube] ,peavey classic 30[used] or a marshall mini stack because i think it looks pretty cool lol. now my question is in all your opinions which would be the best for me. i play mostly distorted stuff, manly hard rock to heavy metal like BLS and Randy Rhoads.
also, i only have around 350$ for this amp. christmas gift from the folks
The Peavey Classic 30 is a pretty good all-round amp for low bucks. It's not really designed for metal, but has a reasonable amount of gain on tap. That would be my choice of the three you mentioned.
well i was thinkin that id buy an overdrive pedal. maybe the ZW-44 or somethin else to help out with my gain
Classic 30 is an amazing all round amp..... I like heavy distortion too so i end up using pedals with the C30 a lot but it is portable and loud! Sounds pretty darn good! Out of the 3 you listed the Classic 30 is a winner.... but from the C30' s stock distortion sound it only really comes to life once the volume is up half way and then i find i cut the pre amp distortion way back... At bedroom levels use a pedal in the clean settings on the amp.

thanks, i just have to wait now to get some cash lol
I've used each on one occasion, but the Classic 30 or a Valveking Combo would be great. I suggest trying each out. The Valveking is so very tweakable!
