Maybe it's because I had an EB/MM with 2 buckers and lately have been playing a friends LP Custom with a 59/JB combo. I think I might put a bucker in the bridge of my FLAMEKASTER. I want a single coil sized bucker and not a full sized bucker. I had a Lil 59 for Tele that I liked, but I am wanting something a little more intense. What do you folks suggest?

I wanted to just emphasize this to our forum members. I've seen a dozen or so threads lately, where someone's question, or problem, could have been instantly solved with a cheap meter. I have one right here that I got at Harbor Frieght for $3. You may not find one that cheap, but you can generally find one for $10, or less.

Has anyone done this? Replace one row of lugs so that the humbucker has 2 rows of screws? I have this on my allan holdsworth pup and wish to do it on a few others. I've heard it makes it brighter or smoother. To my ears it seems to add more clarity. Which type at the link below would fit? What size and metal are in Duncan's?

I've heard that if I wanted an electric guitar set up with two humbuckers that are splittable, and have only 3 way 1 volume 1 tone 1 split toggle on/off, but have the split control BOTH pickups without mixing them together due to electrical arrangement. I.e. Split on, 3 way to middle, both pickups in split is what you hear. Split on, 3 way to neck pickup, you only hear a split neck pickup. I will be buying a 4-wire '59 neck and 4-wire JB bridge. I hope I'm not rambling on, and I hope that this makes sense. Thanks everyone!

Just gotten some stuff for my amp. I'm on a transition from multi effects to totally analogue sound. So my idea is to get a good distortion pedal that will work well with a tube amp, anyone throw in your rigs.

Although I have a set of Bill Lawrence pickups on order I am Interested in the new SD Classic Stack Plus pups, If you got them do you think they would work well for Classic Rock into Late 70s early 80's hard Rock!

I bought the Dimarzio bluesbucker to replace the nice but too similar sounding Virtual Hot PAF in the bridge. I wanted more upper midrange snarl and a more biting tone without going overboard with icepicky highs and I wanted more output. I got precisely what I wanted. This pickup kills. I love it very very much. I can't say that it sounds like a P-90 because I don't own a real P-90 equipped guitar and I've never played one either. I can say that it sounds extremely bluesy and works well with the VVPAF in the neck. The neck VVPAF is round and warm and the bluesbucker on the bridge is a perfect compliment to this sound. It adds a P90 type sound with no hum (unless you split it and that sounds icepicky and too bright). The sound is not as luxurious or as innocent as the VVPAF. If the VVPAF = Charlotte Church, the Bluesbucker = Janis Joplin. This is a whiskey-soaked tattoo-covered pickup that just impregnated the neighbor's daughter and yet it isn't abrasive at all. It's still warm and friendly when not played aggressively. Whack those strings and it bites down hard though. It also does pinch harmonics well and is far better at them than the original VHPAF was. It's definitely a single coil sound and has all the dynamics of a single.

I'm not sure what the differences between a noise GATE and a noise SUPRESSOR are, could somebody please explain this to me? Also, I've had good experience with Boss pedals. I was considering the NS-2, does anybody know if this is a quality pedal? I was also looking at the Boss Flanger, any input helps. Thanks!
