i am new to excel and i need help designing a pie that show the percentage of
increase call volume from one year to the next.

i have designed the report i need and inserted a standard chart

but the boss want a pie showing the increase in percent and i can't figure
it out

Assume your table are using a format of

Year Call Volume
2000 x
2001 y
2002 z

and so on, then you need to add another column and use

Year Call Volume Increase
2000 x 0
2001 y =(Y-X)/X
2002 z

replace X with the cell of the first value and Y with the cell of the second
value, copy down
then select Year and Increase columns and apply a chart but don't use a pie
chart, use a line chart and add
a trend line
