Hi,
I have inherited a workbook from my boss. It contains some Pivot tables
and Pivot charts.
Strangely one of the pivot charts has no field buttons in it. Am not
able to understand as to why it is so. The Pivot table on which the
chart is based does have One column field and 2 row fields (no page
fields).
Please guide me on the same.
regards,
HP

Jon,
Thanks for jumping in.
The pivot table is editable. When right click on any cell within Pivot
table, I can see the options -- Format cells, Pivot Chart, Pivot Table
wizard etc.
Presently, I have drawn the chart by pulling summarized data from a
table created using SumProduct formulas (and hence avoiding the usage
of Pivot tables). But even then I want to know as to why Pivot chart
linked to Pivot table is not working, so that I can troublesoot in
future. (Actually, am more comfortable doing summarization with
sumproduct rather than Pivot and would like to know get my hands dirty
with the intricacies of Pivot as well.)
