I want to post this because I talked a lot about my amp problems since I had the idiocy of selling my YCV40 three months ago.

Is the difference between the 1959HW and a reissue plexi that great? Do both come with the tremolo? Because I wanted to do what Slash's Plexi had.... the tube that ran the trem be a gain stage and a post phase inverter master volume.

Okay, a few months ago, before I got my '58 RI, I bought a '57 RI LP Custom off eBay from a quot;guitar store.quot; It was described as quot;Mint.quot; A few days later, my good friend from Brown shows up with box in hand and I proceed to rip though the box like a kid at Christmas. I crack the case open only to see a LP '57RI thats 'less than mint!'. Some bucklerash, and various dings/nicks throughout the body. Granted, nothing terrible, but for $2500.00, it was far from mint. So, back goes the Custom and I head down to my local mom and pop Gibson dealer and order up a '58 RI. Couldn't be happier.

just wondering who has built their own warmoth and what experiences have risen out of it. I'm thinking about starting the process of building my own and was looking for some feedback about their parts, in paticular the strats, and how the assembly or building process went.

I just did this last night, I am really digging those TAD small bottles. On a whim I picked up anThe Wizard TAD variety show Eminence Wizard speaker. Good god I love that thing, just a great rock speaker.

I was wiring my friend's Livemetal humbucker into his LP but the wiring was weird... On the pickup's diagrams it shows that the caps from the tone pots should have one end one of the lugs, the other grounded to the top of the pot (or bottom) but on his guitar, both ends of the caps are attacked to a lug of the tone and a lug of the volume. I just figured it's another way to wire it and that it doens't make much difference but I was wondering what you guys have to say about it.
Secondly: I think I wired it correctly but I didn't notice a much higher output than with the 500T pickups he had in there. It was hard to get pinch harmonics out of it and it didn't pick up harmonics as well as my FullShred. The pickup sounded ok and did have output so it could be two things

Yeah, I was thinking about putting a JB in the bridge, and a Jazz neck in a mahogany body guitar, with a quilted maple top, and a maple neck with a ebony fingerboard

I've been tweaking my Ibanez Weeping Demon wah for while now. It sounds alright, but I just can't find any good sweet spots I suck at tweaking wahs, so I was wondering, do any of you Weeping Demon abusers have any good settings or advise for finding a good wah tone?

You really need to....

What do you guys (those of you that actually tried them) think about them? I was looking at some of them and any help at all woudl be a good start.

Hi, I have decided to get either the Orange Rocker 30 or the Traynor YCV20WR. Which of these amps do you think I should get? I mostly play rock stuff like GnR and Aerosmith. Do you think I can get Fender-like clean and Marshall-like dirty from either of these amps? Price is also an issue as Orange is much more expensive... Which do you think is a better choice? Or any other suggestions (max 30W)?
