CC for Bright Guitars?
In the new product description it says the CC is suited for bright guitars, but it seems like most people put them in Les Pauls or other mahogany guitars.

What was the fastest guitar return you ever made?
You buy a guitar, get it home and realize that you hate and it you bring it back almost immediately. Which guitar has been in your possession the shortest amount of time and why?

JB vs Tone Zone
I am looking for a replacement for my Epi Les Paul special. I have a JB in my other guitar. How does the tone zone compare in eq, output, etc? I know the tone charts for both site do not compare easily.
thanks

Thinking of tweaking my strat...
Well, when I built my strat I went all out with the neck, hardware, and electronics but stayed somewhat conservative in comparison with the body. I went with an MIM because I really like the color I stumbled upon (the satin gunmetal blue). I've been browsing Warmoth, a bad idea for a gassy fellow like myself, and noticed several strat bodies I really like.

High Action = Better Tone?
How does action affect a guitars tone? Some claim that high action produces the best tone? Is this just another personal preference? I can see how this would reduce/minimize fret buzz and create more efficient fretting. Is that the key concept here?

Original Run ProCo Rat2 pre-LED
Hey guys...I haven't been around that much lately, but I figured I'd stop in and see if there's any interest in a pedal I'm selling. I'm getting ready to finish a guitar project and I need to gather some funds, so the Rat has to go.

SH-11 Screw Coil pos. for Black/Cream
Correct me if I'm mistakin', but normally, for BRIDGE quot;Zebraquot; or Black/Cream colored pickups the white or cream colored coil is the one which contains the screws and faces the bridge. Well, that theory lasted 'till I went to musicians friend site and saw thier SH-11 pic, which is a white colored model with the SD logo on the plain coil, and the screw coil above it,.. all the characteristics of a quot;stereotypicalquot; NECK pickup... however it is a bridge pup.

Scott F: Please read. Another JTM question
Or if anybody else knows the answer I'd love to hear it. I was talking to a member yesterday names Jeff Seal about my Marshall JTM60. He was very helpful and gracious in describing a very simple mod I could perform on my amp. This basically involved removing the rectifier, and it's corresponding capacitors, from the pre-amp valves so they would run on a DC current. I was all set to do this today after Jeff Seal listed a very detailed account of the steps I should take in performing the mod when my dad said I should try and get a second opinion before. I don't mean to undermine Jeff Seal's obviously substantial knowledge of amps but I thought it would be irresponsible of me to go ahead with the mod without investigating further.

A n00b amp experience a pedal question...
Well I started out with a Peavey envoy 40 watts. I'm not in a band and I never planned to. I then got a POD for headphone fun and that, but it has way too many models and functions on it. I recently got a 30 watts Laney AOR combo... Here are my conclusions:
If you practise in your room, tube is pointless (unless it's 1 W). You get a very small (though indeed noticeable) difference at low volume, in the favor of tube, but it often isn't worth the extra money.

String Ground
i have to wire a few guitars and wanted to know if it is optional to ground the bridge and strings? is the string ground a safety measure or only needed to decrease hum if present? we are using tone pros wraparound bridges and i believe they may have a coating on them that might not conduct a ground anyway? thanks
